Hello, I have been playing mmorpg since UO -97 so I have been around awhile :)

Now I have this illness that makes me slow and my arms and legs slowly stops working as they should. Recently I lost the battle against it and ended up in wheelchair and my arms and hands moves so slow it ridicoulos !!

Now to my problem, I want to find a good turn based game since its slow enough for me :;)

I want to play Dogs of War Online but havent been able to find a beta key so what other games like this is out there ??

I have played : Heartstone, Poxnora (loved that game), sorry my brain is out of order cant remember more but I have played more :)

Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.

/Micke

Edit: I have been here since -04, makes it 10 years celebration :)

Some turn-based MMOs: Dofus, Wakfu, Wizard 101, Pirate 101.

You could also play a lot of single-player games: Civilization V, Europa Universalis 4, Heroes of Might and Magic 5, King's Bounty -series, Master of Orion 2 (it's old game, but really good), X-COM Enemy Unkown.

If you liked PoxNora maybe you should look at games like Scrolls, Card Hunter and Conquest of Champions. Plus they will start selling Dogs of War Online on Steam soon (this month).

    Hello,  :)

If you played Hearthstone i recommend you to try "Might & Magic : Duel of Champions", a Free to play card game that is getting into

e-sports circle and do not require the 230 APM.

I don't know much about turn based games, but i recall that i really liked "Blood Bowl" i don't know if it still active.

But last dev tweet is at this time from the 20 December so i guess it is still running.

Hey man, sorry to hear about your health issues. But since you enjoyed Ultima Online, maybe EVE Online would suit your needs. You can control almost everything with your mouse and, except for solo/small scale PVP, it usually doesn't require a high amount of clicks per second. Other thant that, some of the previous suggestions would work just fine for you as well (Civilization, Wizard 101,...)

    Cheers!

These work well bud, may want to look at getting one.

Today's Gadget Pr0n gets down and dirty with the OCZ Neural Impulse Actuator, a gaming headband that actually works off of your brain waves to deliver a satisfying gaming experience.

    What You Need to Know

    • Most of it is based on muscle action rather than brainwaves
    • If you want to move forward, you only give it a little bit of motion, like raising your eyebrows and keeping them raised
    • To do something more dramatic like firing or jumping, you give it a more sudden action, like clench your jaw or blink hard
    • It’s just like any other macro program
    • You can assign up to 3 events per brain spike, and they can be any keystroke or mouse click
    • Event 1 occurs when there is a little activity, event 2 occurs when there is a bit more and event 3 occurs with the most activity
    • This means your third event happens the least, which is why you want this one to be your fire button
    • It takes a lot of training to make yourself better than you would be with mouse and keyboard
    • It's not 100% accurate, but good enough
    • Price is cheap as well.
This could be a way to keep playing the games you love. If not you could always try Shadowrun Returns or Xcom's new one. They are both fun and turn based.

SolForge, it's a game like Magic The Gathering or Hearthstone, and it's free. You can have several games running at the same time, so if your opponent thinks you are too slow, probably he will be playing 2 matches or 3 at the same time.

I would suggest civilization series, you can play both single and multiplayer.

There are also some online browser games like jagged alliance online, I didnt like it so much but maybe you might :)

Heroes of might and magic 4-5-6 are great, I didnt like the new card game version.

Also everyone says hearthstone is great, I have yet to try it.

Did you also try the new broken sword that just released?

Try the X Com Games. They are turn based.

Or the Civ games. Should be fairly easy for you to play and can play against others.

The XCOM of Firaxis is a great game, however, don't play it with a difficulty higher than medium or average, the computer cheats a lot.

Demonicron - 90 Death Knight - Emerald Dream - US

I only just discovered X COM at Christmas. My wife bought it for me and I went in "blind". I absolutely love it! The turn-based nature makes it easy to think about the coming moves, adjust strategies and tactics without feeling the pressure of needing twitch-based reactions. I'd also echo that recommendation to the OP.

XCom is great. I just beat it on Classic Ironman.

There is this other thread also saying, Wakfu Asia Open Beta. Now knowing that Wakfu is turn based, a decent game, and pay to play, i believe it's a good chance to try it on Open Beta for free. Not sure though if they let people outside Asia to become part of the open beta.

If you haven't done so already, you may want to see what the AbleGamers community suggests.  They have forums at http://community.ablegamers.com/forum

p.s. - I also love the Civilization series for my turn based fix
