I subscribed to CO the day NCSoft announced the closure of CoH. Out of pure spite.
I can honestly say that is the only reason to pay for this game.
Community in this game is nonexistant. And, I'm leaving aside the Forum stuff that was so great like the Fan Art and general TV , Movies, and Comics chat. I mean the game as a whole. Good luck finding a SG. Good luck finding a Team.
Good luck anyone answering a simple Tell.
This game is geared so much toward soloing that the closest to teaming you'll find is running Alerts.
Constantly.
All the time.
The character creation is slick, and the costume creator is the main attraction, but everything after that is a disappointment.
Sad.

I logged in last week for the first time in over two years and done a few alerts, a few missions and hung around the powerhouse area to see how much activity went on. Even though it was quite busy, chat was very quiet and most people were just posing and the game was boring after a bit, but my 6 year old seemed to like it.
In all, it's free and worth having a go on every now and again but not really worth investing a lot of time and effort in.
Lol. I just returned to it after a break and last night not only were there numerous spams about looking for members for new super groups, the raging and the arguments were really amusing as well. Guess it comes down to time of day.
True about grouping though. The game does lean towards the solo hero.
I would recommend this game to any Solo PVE'r.
But if you PVP...stay far, far away from this game.
