And was pretty excited to see "hey something exclusive toRvRvR players" Now with the little that's mentioned it would must likely be a pvp only skill but really how much will it aide?
Anyone else seen/heard of these skills? will Large PVP kills rapidly swap emperors to bust there ranks? what abuse can be had with them?
Seems nice but can it make or break the 3 faction fighting if 1 side gets these?? dunno throwing it out there

And you're deluding yourself if you don't think that the 3-Faction system had plenty of problems that were never solved.
This is an incredibly bad mechanic and will certainly break RvR but not because the skills are OP themselves. The hardcore players that really want the emperor title and skills will join the winning side. Since these individuals will most likely play more than your average player you now have a side with greatly increased coverage, population, and possibly skill. This means that the opposing factions will get crushed and ultimately stop playing or switch sides causing further imbalance.
This is seriously amateur hour in terms of game mechanics and design. This makes the population imbalances that would have already been a problem that much worse. Unless Zenimax starts spitting out population/timezone control mechanics to actually keep things at least semi balanced this games PvP will not last very long. How do Devs keep coming up with these mechanics that simply aren't thought out? Do they just go with whatever sounds good without thinking about the ramifications? The idea of an emperor and an alpha skill line sounds neat until you actually think about it, but clearly no one at zenimax is doing that.
Yea I agree I was involved in that time zone blitzkrieg on several GW2 Servers from USA to EU and Back and that's why im interested to know more on this as that Killed GW2 and why I am a bit taken back by this news in ESO I'm hoping to hear more and how they try to balance this as well

This puts a tremendous emphasis not on playing and having fun but on winning and winning alone. If you want the Emperor skills, nothing matters unless you win.
And let's not forget that there can only be one. It's good for you if someone in your faction becomes the Emperor... unless you were aiming for the position yourself. This makes that player (someone supposedly on your team) your enemy. Without a mechanic to settle such squabbles (such as earning the right to challenge the Emperor and duel him/her for the title), there can be nothing but arguments, frustration, and grief.
Also, we all remember Warhammer Online and the best way to earn points in RvR. Was it to charge valiantly into battle, slay your enemies, and have a good ol' time? Nope. Just flip control points. We don't know that ESO will suffer the same mistake, but we do know that we can't be sure that the best way to earn points won't be a big cheese farm.
Their lack of foresight has me concerned.

It is a time=reward idea and just another reason i cannot take rpg pvp seriously.3 faction fighting,i would need at least 7/8/9+ factions to see any enjoyment from faction warfare.I look at it like sports teams,imagine joining a league with only 3 teams umm ..no thanks.
I don't see anything about a skill,it just says you basically get some reward for your faction holding the most keeps,probably a faction buff.Then the points system is like GW2,which i don't like ,it promotes selfish game play.
How does this promote team work?Once players find out what rewards the most points,that is the ONLY thing they will do,example just spam heals non stop to gain max points.
Then how about any class built for defense,how is that player suppose to compete for points and Emperor?
What was the purpose of that video on their site?It just looked like some sequence from a single player game.Also the animations look clunky as heck.Why do i get the feeling Zenimax thinks a MMORPG is just a another single player game with pvp and internet?
Have they released any information on skills that promote team work,group play?

Imagine the bitch storm when healers don't get enough Alliance Points for healing to compete with dps. Or even more crazy would be if healers got more points than dps. It's going to be nigh impossible to balance it so that everyone is ok with it.
At least people can plop in skill combinations to match whatever the Flavor of the Month is for gaining the most AP/hour.
What part of any game doesnt have problems? Its non existant. Every game will have problems in all stages, and game style whether its PvP, PvE, RvR, etc. The fact of the matter is that 3 realm RvR is by far better then 1v1. Its been proven already and if you think otherwise then your being ignorant or naive, whicever one you prefer. Why do you think soooooo many ppl clammer and speak about DAoC's Realm vs Realm? Because it was damn good. You had many reasons to have pride and fight for your side and it seems theyre doing it in ESO as well. And need I say more about the Darkness Falls style dungeon they will be adding? Yeah.. That alone speaks volumes. Mass amount of amazing fun memories there.
