personally i will be going the ebonheart faction mainly because i want to be a argonian. I think players will have there own favourites from previous elder scrolls games.
@JPPicard Not sure there will be much inbalance, as weird as that might sound to you (and me) there are loads of people who want to play other races (at least judging by similar polls and various forums comments). Elves and kitties as well (yuck)

Yes, Khajiit for me so Dominion it is.
Loved khajiit animations and 'feel'. Very likely if/when I roll an alt it will be a kitty
Would love a dunmer but I have already decided on a Nord main, so no go
I am really not sure. I want to avoid the Ebonheart Pact, because it is already way too popular. Tho I will surely take a peek at all three. First I wanted to go Daggerfall, but the Dominion has cooler quests and landscape, IMO. The queen and her aide Raz are really cool characters to meet.

Happy to see you decided (or almost) to have a peek at the game

Heh, weird, I never doubted I would surely buy it. I mean, I bought virtually EVERY MMO the last years. ^^
I mean, hello, it's my hobby!
What much more surprised me how the Aldmeri Dominion won me over. Damn you NDA. Can't tell. ^^

At this time, Ebonheart Pact is my choice. I'll more than likely play a Nord for various reasons (without going into detail, it fits my character build/concept).
Now granted, I will more than likely have to defer to what my friends do. That being said, I'll tolerate whatever side I'm on. I can make the racial bonuses work in my favor.
Raquelis in various games Played: Everything Playing: Nioh 2, Civ6 Wants: The World Anticipating:Everquest NextCrowfall, Pantheon, Elden Ring
Daggerfall all the way for my main. Been waiting to return to that city (with decent graphics) since '96.
That being said, I respect them doing what makes sense in the lore and basing which races are in the given alliances on geographical proximity, but I can't help thinking it will lead to balance issues in PvP. As a general rule, the most popular race in MMOs is human, and the AD is the only faction without any human option. Then we add on to that that they gave what are probably the two most popular races (and the corresponding areas) for Morrowind/Skyrim fans both to the same faction, and things could get "interesting."
I would suggest nobody comment on which factional stories are better, since the only way to know enough about them to form an educated opinion is to be someone who is subject to the NDA.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.
I personally don't understand the infatuation with the Ebonheart Pact. I mean, is Skyrim and Nords really the only things driving that ship? Lizard people and dark elves? Then there is the Aldmeri Dominion, where you can choose between elves and cat people?
I just don't get it. I'm picking Daggerfall Covenant. All three of my favorite game characters fit all three races. Plus, two of them are human, and one is a bad ass Orc. You'd think people would be more into Orcs, considering WoW. And it's just a far cooler name than either of the other two alliances.

Hmm.. figure honestly thought Daggerfall Covenant would be more popular.

Aldmeri Dominion, but that may be solo. I'm not sure all my friends are into elves, so I may play Ebonheart with them as an alliance that likely has broader appeal (1 human, 1 elf, 1 beast).

I'll probably be playing all factions to some extent. Ebonheart because a mate is hellbent on playing as a Nord, and I wouldn't mind playing a dunmer. But I don't want to have to wait to play with him every time I want to play. My main will probably be solo for this very reason. All in all, I'll probably be soloing the least on my "solo" main.
having tried a few i think dark elf shadow rogue so ebonheart ..but im also fond of ranger type build and a tank so i'm also considering orc tank and woodelf ranger so very mixed faction choices to make
Originally posted by MangaMaiden Will be going Aldemeri as they feature my three favourite races! Though I will personally be a High Elf.
I'll definitely be making myself one of those as well.
That and probably a Breton or a Nord.

Well, my main will be a Nord so Ebonheart.

There is nothing wrong with being an elf! They are just a bit stuck up is all!
Kitty drug dealers are another thing, but absolutely hilarious to be around. *hides the Skooma*

Did not vote because there was no place to choose "ALL OF THE ABOVE". I never play just one faction.
Let's party like it is 1863!

As someone that never played Skyrim, the Pact does remind me a bit of Midgard ;P
