Rift: Golden Age of Dimensions Dawns

The Rift v2.6, "Dream Weaver" update is now live across all servers. The update brings the new Dream Weaver profession into the game, a profession that allows crafters to make Dimension-specific items. Dimensions are Rift's version of housing. In addition, the Valentine's themed "Love-Bug" event has also rolled out.

Craft keys for 15 new Dimensions plus water, sparkles, smoke, special items, and object-free lighting and particle effects you can add anywhere you like in your favorite retreats. Not a Dimensioneer? Craft rune-like Dream Orb equipment enhancements that add a variety of bonuses.

    But yeah, all kidding aside, its neat that there is a profession that focuses on housing. It reminds me of carpenter in eq2

    I enjoy this game quite a bit, but as a hardcore pvper who only dabbles in other features like housing, I'd like to see a bit more added to pvp (new wf's, the new cq map, entice more open-world pvp, better ranking system, etc.).

    They have killed and neglected pvp for so long that most of the PvP  population has left. Even today in the new patch they show their incompetence again and used a sledgehammer to try and balance TTK.

    For PvP, all they have to do is using the dimension engine allow players to create their own WF''s. This way players can set up 5v5, 1v1, 2v2 or whatever they want to do. Guilds could then hold real tournaments.

    Players have been asking for better tools to allow dimensions to have pvp.

    I healed Mistwraith and all I got was this stupid tee-shirt!

    The only problem with dreamweaving is that it is ridiculously impossible to get all the goods you need for it.  I farmed for an hour last night and got 30 artifacts, but only around 40 dream ribbons out of them.  That'll give me like 8 skill points at low level (and waaay fewer at high)

    The update somehow managed to break chat and mail for over 24 hours... Long time to have no chat in a game like RIFT.
