Faction Choices and Early Access

At the moment, unless I am mistaken, it seems that if you pre-order the game you get the Early Access BUT you don't get the codes for the game goodies including the Explorers Pack etc until launch day.   This may be different for people buying direct from the publishers website (as opposed to from retailers both online and bricks and mortar)

This means that whist you will get to play early, you wont be able to pick a race and play in any alliance.  Your mount wont be available to you etc ......

This would be the most idiotic setup ever.  (Not arguing its validity).  But to be able to start early, but not with the race of your choice would be simply retarded.

Yeah, the wording is a bit confusing.

But I don't really mind either way, as I'll have a whole family of alts anyways, so it doesn't really matter when I get the goodies. The most important thing is getting the early access image

The owners of the digital edition should be fine, I think.

Physical edition however... Well, we might be screwed indeed.

When do I receive the full benefits of the Explorer’s Pack?

During Early Access, players who pre-ordered or pre-purchased any edition of The Elder Scrolls Online will be able to take advantage of the ability to play as any race in any alliance. The remaining full Explorer's Pack items will fully unlock on April 4. Customers who purchased a retail edition will require the Explorer's Pack code that comes with the boxed product to be applied at launch to unlock the remaining items. ESO Digital Store customers will have the Explorer's Pack fully unlocked automatically when they play on or after April 4.

    Ah ha !  Thank you.

So.. your discount for buying elsewhere will cost you the use of your horse etc during early access, but you will be able to roll in any Alliance with the Early Access code.

Thats not so bad unless in 5 days you are going to be stuffed with enough gold that the horse for your main is far less of a use to you that it would have been at the start. Assuming you can use a mount from level 1 ....

    You guys are so silly.

You'll get your codes a few days before hand.  You'll apply them to your account, and when you log in, they will be there.  At least that's my assumption.  What does it matter anyways?  Can't wait a few days?

I think you misunderstood the faq. The only difference in procedure between players that bought directly from ZOS and those that bought elsewhere is that the needed code will be applied automatically on the 4th in the case of ZOS customers.

Everyone else will have to login to their account and enter their codes manually.

Other than that everyone gets their goodies at the same point, regardless of where they buy.

However, the quote from the faq refers to the perks from the Explorers Pack, not the CE !

Players can feed their mount once every 24 hours with three different items; oats, apples, or wheat, causing it to level up in either bag space, speed, or stamina. These gains are permanent and cumulative, and are the equivalent of leveling up the mount. They can be up to level 50, and depending on how high their quality was at the beginning, they will have differing levels of attributes at the end.

HORSIE BAG SPACE CONFIRMED and you can feed it to be better?  Ok so you can make it a better mount by investing time into it, that's cool.

Also the more expensive horses are just partially leveled.

I'm definitely not impressed. Guess I should have read the faq before purchasing.

The Imperial horse was already there last weekend - it cost 100 instead of being in your mailbox but it was there. I think that despite their somewhat confusing KB statements, whatever digital goodies are part of pre-order and CEs will be there on March 30th, not April 4.
