Is BIS only attainable through raids in this game like umm "other" games with raids in them ?

This for me is a huge deciding factor on weather i even consider playing this game, i did the raid thing and i just do not have the want or desire to do that again.

This is not a knock against raiders, that's great if you enjoy doing that, i just don't.

If it's like that in WoW, then it's like that in WS too. All the way to pvp stat on pvp gear. Not joking...

Wildstar is for people who want to do 40 person raids. Is that you? Then play Wildstar.

If that's not you, then you should avoid WIldstar or you'll end up being one of those people on the forums asking for 10/25 person raids and being shouted down because you knew going in that it was built around 40 person raiding endgame.

Devs have been very clear on this point, they're building a game for people who miss larger scale raiding.

Well that's a troll post if I've ever seen one.

This game is not a WoW clone. Regardless of how many people would like to call it one.  It may have a similar visual style, but it does enough stuff quite differently that it shouldn't be regarded as a WoW clone.

Try and  look 10 inches further then the length of your nose...  And you might be able to see the obvious from other oeoples view on things..

70% of all MMO players is not interested in any kind of endgame at all... They level 2 or 3 characters to max and then move on to the next game..

There will be different sizes of progressive raids.... One will be 40, while other instances might max oit at lower numbers, ...

Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)

The title of the thread is "Best in slot?" The OP asks where that's going to happen. The answer is 40 man raids.

I didn't say there wouldn't be other content, but 40 person raids is a main feature of Wildstar. If the best PvE gear doesn't come from 40 mans, I'll eat my hat.

I really doubt that it is 70% of people that play MMO's that aren't interested in end game at all. I would have to say out of all of my friends that play MMORPG's maybe 1/16th of them don't play end game. Also look at any MMORPG with players still, where are a majority of players in them. End game. WoW - probably 3/4ths of people in end game content at any given time, FFXIV - end game mostly, EQ2 - endgame, almost every MMO on the market has a majority of people doing content. If what you are saying is correct than every game would be dead right now, which just isn't true.
