i installed the beta, did the training, played 30 minutes, uninstalled.
there's too few map, too few player per map, Titans are nothing special. the game feels like a mini-game.
you want a better shooter? BF4 or COD. This is a true console game.
Better shooter? I don't think Titanfall is in the same category. Hawken comes to mind...but to just poo poo this game and say go to another genre of shooters isn't right. COD and BF4 are way different. I would welcome a Titanfall over those.
Give it time and stop "uninstalling" so quick

I dont think i have to say anymore, there is a pistol in game that automatically gets headshots. Get the fuck out of here.

And if you'd actually USED the smart pistol, you'd realize that it takes a good while to lock a player, and that multiple locks are necessary, meaning that any competent player has plenty of time to notice you and unload a clip of SMG / carbine / shotgun ammo into you. The only thing it's truly useful for is to kill people who are trying to wrangle your titan. It's very much a niche weapon. Not that you'd actually know, since you're obviously just spewing forth a knee-jerk response based on what you read on a website somewhere.
This game is NOT CoD with mechs. Anyone who says that obviously hasn't spent much time in the game, and is either hating on it because disliking certain things is trendy these days, or only played a single match & didn't do very well & ragequit.
Also, the higher-tier bots are much smarter than grunts (which are admittedly pretty stupid) and will definitely take you down if you don't show them proper respect. At the very least, they'll keep you busy enough so a player can take advantage of the situation.
As for limited maps... this is BETA. The full game will have a lot more maps, at least two more titan models, more weapons, etc., on top of a story campaign.
If it were simply an infantry game I'd agree that 6v6 is pretty low, but when you throw titans and AI into the mix, it actually makes sense and works surprisingly well. Honestly, I often forget about how relatively few actual players are in the game, because I'm always shooting / going after something / someone.
Still not sure if it's worth $60, but so far I've gotten more out of the beta than I have in almost a year and a $60 founder's pack into Hawken, though comparing the two really isn't fair I suppose.

it has a learning curve, there isn't really any bottle necks where the map designers want to force conflict. you can climb up buildings or wall run along them. so you get your neck snapped or shot in the back because you'v probably gotten used to Cod and Bf4, so your still in that mind set of they cant get behind me with out stairs or ladders.
the mechs are ok, they do see bottle necks where you have to fight. i like the abilty to set it to follow or guard dog mode, great for when i had a sniper and i leave the titan standing next to the building under me, keeping people from jumping up behind
and the Ai combatants are good for a fog of war setting, small AI firefights going on around you, the robot troops you can hack and they follow you around shooting and covering your back. tho they dont do much dmg. i think they do alot to give a good war setting, in stead of completely empty maps. in a hard points battle (capture and hold a,b,c) the ai's can take a points for your side.
im sure with this just being beta there will be more added in later. hopefuly large maps, more players, and a more destructible enviroment. with some more all around polish it should be a great shooter.

Sadly, it just feels like COD with mechs and better character agility, oh and the mech's aren't even that good. No to mention the useless AI bots.
Not a bad game, but... is it worth the $'s?
Mechwarrior online is better IMO, and it's free to play.
Smart Pistol.

I don't think he cares. He only lasted 30 minutes before uninstalling. Nobody legitimately interested in a game quits that quickly.
