This is pretty much how I'm thinking too.  So far I have tried ESO and wasn't really impressed.  At least not to the point to were I thought the game was worth a  box price on top of a monthly sub.  This almost sucks for me because I'm a PVPer too.  Oh well.   I probably won't be impressed with Wildstar either, but I did just get a key today from their giveaway so I can at least actually try it before making a final decision.  Luckily there are other MMOs on the horizon other than these two.

Most likely both as I play all MMOs that come out.  But I have pre-ordered ESO.  I played Wild Star at the NYC Comic Con and just wasn't blown away.  The controls felt wonky but attribute that to the public keyboard mouse.  Then again I always looked at Wildstar with a crooked eye.  I'll be there day one to see if I'm right.

    Both....

No reason not to really. I'll prolly buy all the big MMO's that come out till I find one that doesn't suck.

Ya same....I've been hearing quite a bit of Archeage lately on different forums as well. Whats the deal with that?

imo skyrim is a better mmo than eso, so ill be playing wildstar.

LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity.
I am, usually on the sandbox .. more "hardcore" side of things, but I also do just want to have fun. So lighten up already :)

I am sure I will end up getting both of them while i wait for Star Citizen to come out.

Neither, so I put the wooden leg.

I will play ESO when it goes F2P.  I have no interest in playing WOW again, so Wildstar is a no.

I like ESO has a more mature look to it, im tired of the cartoon graphics and was not all that pleased with wildstar, but knowing me i'll end up getting both.

None of them, I only want Wildstar to launch fast because Lineage Eternal will only have news after Wildstar launch.

Yep... and I agree because I haven't been able to play eso past the intro.  I don't know why, I just find it unplayable.   I wish I could explain it, because I want the game to be incredible.

After reading more about Wildstar I'm definitely passing on it. ESO all the way for me. Wilstar's class system is a joke like SWTOR"s was where each class can be DPS and Healer. No diversity at all.

Yea, no thanks. Wildstar will merge servers and go f2p within 3 months guaranteed.

If those are the top contenders it is not much of a year at all.

WS looks like a low budget Indie game  and ESo,well i never could find  any of the ES games to entice me well enough to finish them.I quit Skyrim after only 3 days,so ya they have not encouraged me to dive into TESO.I consider Zenimax an average game designer, not quite good enough when i have better choices.

I would say i already have my home in games and will be buying nothing further this year unless Archeage pans out in which case i think it is a cash shop game.

If i did not already have several better games to play i would choose TESO without question,WS is not even clsoe on my radar ,more like right near the bottom. If the WS team put as much effort into the game as they did with their promotional marketing videos it would be a 9/10.

    Neither

Bringer of Eternal Darkness and Despair, but also a Nutritious way to start your Morning.

Maybe ESO.  I have zero interest in Wildstar.  I think themeparks, in general, are wildly overdone.  There is a good chance I will play neither.  Should have had none on the poll.

Same. I'm just playing one though. Are you still doing the GW2/EQ2 combo, Tor?
Yes, pretty much. I took a short break to check out SW:TOR. It was really interesting, but sort of lost steam around level 30. I'm trying to plug along.

But yeah, I'm playing EQ2, GW2, Neverwinter, and Eldevin. I'm an mmo bigamist, what can I say.

hehe yeah I hear ya. When SWG shut down I went through a dozen mmos in about two years. Back to one again and it feels pretty good. I think both ESO and Wildstar have some intriguing game systems but neither have enough to pull me from what I'm playing now.

I was pretty convinced that both of these would go F2P or at least B2P pretty quickly given how mediocre they look but then I talked myself into spending $15 on FFXIV and well, people are paying $15 a month for what is one of the worst MMORPG I've ever tried. So now I think maybe they will survive just because there are so many bad titles out right now.

Nice Mr Bungle Pic!! SWG was my favorite mmo and even though ESO isnt anything like SWG (A revolutionary masterpiece) it is still fun enough for me at least to warrent a subscription.

Mainly because like SWG I just really enjoy roleplaying, and Im such an ES lore buff that like SWG I basically use the game to write my own fan fiction.

Thats awesome! You should post some stuff here when you get some new stories done.

ESO for sure, I simply have no interest in Wildstar.

    ESO

    Rich lore and immersive world.

Amazing flexible class system that gives so much freedom and choices.

An MMO with a fresh approach and presentation.

Wildstar for me. I will wait for some other game for my RvR fix rather than play TESO. If I want to play an Elder Scrolls game I will play either Morrowind or Skyrim.

Playing MUDs and MMOs since 1994.

I have already prepurchased ESO although I'm not really sold on it to be honest, it's more of a hopeful purchase that it will improve when it releases.

Not really interested in Wildstar but there are a few things I like about the game. Just not enough right now for me to play it though.
