When Bill Murphy asked if I would review Eldevin by Hunted Cow, I first took a quick look at the website. I read the words “Story Driven” and was sold. I expected a slow casual romp and told him so. He agreed. So Sylvene was born in Eldevin.

Eldevin is lots of fun! Ive been playing since launch and can't stop playing. Well, okay, Edge of the Mists launched in GW2 and Lion's Arch is burning, so I have been spending some time in GW2. Anyway, this game came out of nowhwere for me and hooked me. Currently the cap is 40 and there are plans for content up to 50 in the near future. The game is f2p so if you love games in the style of Runescape (only better) you owe it to yourself to try it out!
Thanks for the review.

Who said anything about runescape? Are you just comparing it because its a browser game? keep in mind that runescape has been around for 12-13 years..and Eldevin has just come out.
Try to be excellent to everyone you meet. You never know what someone else has seen or endured.
My Review Manifesto
Follow me on Twitter if you dare.
I really would like to play this game for awhile. Something to kill until Early access to ESO is out.
Maybe even ending up putting it into my normal rotation.
Alas with Thief coming out next week, and Castlevania, I think that will hold more over until ESO.
If not I will try it out for sure.
"What tastes like purple?"
Yes. I have an i7 2600k at 3.70GHz and the game chuggs like a bitch. I can run pretty much any other game at max settings, but this runs poorly? I know it's a browser game, so system specs have varying effects, but WOW it runs bad.
Havn't played for about a month. Stopped because my inv was full. I can't stand games where you spend most of your time running back to a shop just to clear space so you can get more junk!
Wish they would make items stackable. For example, my inv got full from going in to the mine, multiple items of the same kind all filling up valuable space that could be stacked like in most other games!
Also don't like multiplayer concept much. I managed to create a party, went in to a multiplayer section and after soloing a couple of monsters, got booted out when the other party member decided they did not want to be in a party anymore. Why kick you out if you are able to solo!
Other than these 2 problems I was enjoying the game!
The inventory problem was a big issue for me. I was constantly throwing away things just to keep playing.
I had the same inventory issues a couple months ago. Things stack now, and bags are in game.

Just buy some sacks. I have about 60 at this point. I find them invaluable. Easy to become a sackholic
as oldschool player from Meridian59,UO,Ashen Empire,Runescape,Tibia etc i just started it 3 weeks ago and yes,i am hooked
it has a special flair and a awesome community and runs very smooth on my I5 with a old Nvidea 560Ti
what is most astounished,is,that the creators really listen to their players and implement and update allmost daily
so this game is a big 8/10 for me
