Its funny because in Gw2 I've killed players with legendaries in my lvl 5 thief xD
I suppose TESO will be the good ol' "fuck player skill" gear treadmill kind of game. Which makes sense with that wooden combat...
I mean ... who thought that a single character should rape 10 others with apparently no problems, wtf is this shit. If this happens to me ... 1 guy killing me and 9 of my friends, I'll format my whole drive partition, that's how I'll get rid of it, I'll scrape every single bit of this game from my SSD >.>
I don't even see a player skill involved in this combat, he just runs around and shoots everything that moves, ah yes and he also dodged like ... twice. Such awesome.
No but seriously, such gameplay makes me sick. Where's the balance in all this?!? Doing 3on1 or max 4on1 is marvelous acheivement in Gw2, you have to be exceptionally good to pull that stuff and I fail more often than not in it which is fair if everyone plays it right. But geeze...this guy can cap a keep on his own ._. In a totally legit way ....

Yes I agree, this is clearly not an example of better player with more skill, it is gross abuse of a spec and/or mechanic. I believe the werewolf passing he is using is what has been nerfed or is in the works to be nerfed., and makes this build OP. Even the Emperor buff should not let him solo the entire map.
Honestly, if that's not what the "Emperor" title gives then what is the point of that idea. I think that is nice, a hero standing out among the lot of his companions, because he's a motherflogging boss emperor.
However this is the second time I see an "OP" video of some Dragon Knight using a staff. Looks like nerf inc to that build.
I see no problem with this. If anything it should be expanded to "Elder Council" as well. Maybe 10-20 of the high ranked players from that faction get somewhat lesser buffs than the emperor, but still something to make them strong. Otherwise, giving all the power to just one player from that faction just makes it easier to stay on top which it shouldnt be, even if your faction maintains control.
A lot of whinging over nothing. In SWG the Jedi Alpha class was common. This is even harder to get and it is exclusive, so its basically what Jedi should've been. People will cry until anything unique and badass is removed from the game, this wont last Im thinking.
I was under the impression PvP was the saving grace of this game, but having watched that video, it looks like the same as any other tab-target based combat system, which is highly disappointing.

Ah GW2 the balanced game Warriors in God mode with passives & Thiefs in perma stealth with 1 button win & that after 1,5 year of balance with the forums in rage mode for months..

Ah GW2 the balanced game Warriors in God mode with passives & Thiefs in perma stealth with 1 button win & that after 1,5 year of balance with the forums in rage mode for months..
Really? Have you even tried playing "godmode" warrior? Or a perma stealth thief? Because I have, and I have played against those, and they down fairly easy in 1on1. I mean sure, the whole "god" thing lasts for like what ... 15 seconds? If you can't outsmart a warrior for 15 seconds you deserve to be killed, sorry.
Have you ever considered chilling or immobilizing a thief? Yeah that's quite fun to watch Those god builds dying like flies if played properly against
But what do I know, Gw2's combat is supposed to be mash them up fanatically buttons right? If we are to agree with the complaints in this particular forum ))
P.S: If memory serves me right, I think warrior is the least used class in sPvP.
P.S: Regardless if I'm right or wrong or if you agree with me or not, a single character without support can not defeat 10 others no matter what.
It would be fun to watch PvPs in this game 1 year in, when most of the population is endgame and properly geared Wonder how the population will adjust for that time in matter of builds and tactics. Lets not forget that even Gw2 wasn't zerg vs zerg in WvW clearly because most of the people had no clue what to do exactly and there were no user-defined alliances of realms/servers.
Once those started to pop, the particular gameplay remained in favor to what it used to be before.
In the end people will always find the shortest route to win, no matter what. It's just a matter of time. And everyone who thinks Cyrodill won't be similar 1 year post launch is so so wrong its not even worth it to discuss.
I dont think this should be defended even if you like the game, I do like the game, but i admit its broken. This guy could 1v10 with his health barely drop below 50%, and thats not only because he is the "emperor", but also he is using a broken build. Some of the players are bolsted, yes, but not all of them, and even so it only shows how the level scaling system doesnt work.
Double health, magica, and stamina doesnt make everyone an invincible tank who can 1v10, you need to be a cloth wearing dragon mage with those double stats to be able to do that.

I have 1800 lvls in WvW & 50 rank in sPvP so yes i know what i am talking about & if u don't believe me you can look at official forums..now i didn't say eso will be balanced we have to w8 at least 6 months to see & maybe the game is totally broken who knows..but to say GW2 is a balanced game is a bad joke!

As I said in my last P.S ... regardless if you agree with me or not, the simple fact remains, there is not a single build in Gw2 that can tackle 10 others at the same freaking time without a single support in the back.
I'm glad to see this. It's important to have something to strive for, and the Emperor title and powers definitely seem to be fitting.
I remember when, during an Alterac Valley battleground, the current Rank 14 (highest rank in PvP), with its shiny and extremely powerful armor and weapons, used to rally the faction's morale.
Though that has already been rebalanced. Can't run that anymore and expect anything close to the same results. DK has undergone a number of nerfs specifically as well, i.e. they toned down Inhale by quite a lot.
Originally posted by Scypheroth yup this game isnt broken at all....
Its unrealistic to think a level 10-15 bumped up to 50 in Cryodiil would be nearly as effective as a fully developed level 50 toon. Not broken at all.
Lol, with all the skills available, you honestly think it won t be a balancing nightmare. Have fun with that.
Aye, I don't envy the balance team for this game.
That said, though, they've done a surprisingly good job so far. The video linked in the OP is showing off quite a few things people don't understand.
1) It's footage of an old build. There's been a number of balance changes since then. The DK specifically has had it's AoE capability nerfed fairly hard.
2) You're watching a fully geared character fighting against severely up-leveled characters. And that's hardly a zerg, he's fighting no more than 4 at a time (zergs will have you fighting double digits).
It's not unlike if you were to show people footage of GW2 PvP, in which u have a fully geared guardian fighting against a small group of lvl 10 characters up-lvled to 80. To the uninformed the game would look imbalanced as hell. However, to those that have played the game, they'd know that what you were watching was not a common occurance. But rather a very rare / specific situation that looks bad.

Already nerfed.

bolstered people have 900 armor 872 res to spell 1989 Hp also Armor weapon stats dont apply to bolstered people in WvW ..
A my build at lvl 50 should have 1900 hp 100 hp regen 50 hp steal on hit +healing DPS skill over all estimated passive heal =200 + Hp per second
physical res 1900
Magic resist 1500 Enchantment not added to this number because don't know how much Stat they give.
+ a buff that at lvl 50 would give 500 physical res and magic res
bolstered champs has no chance vs Emperor
people who complain about game being broken have no idea about the game ..... so shut up shame on you !

Bring on some Nightblade videos which shows that people die in 2 seconds.
I have the feeling the class balance in this game goes into the direction of GW2 which would definately suck.

Fake...
You can do this in any game lol. In WoW, you could duel a level 10 and go eat a sammich and come back, and you lost 0 hp lol.
I guess the trolls have run out of things to cry about, so now they're making stuff up...
