54,55€ = 75,44$ for us here in Europe. Standard Edition. Cool right?
75,44$ for 5days headstart buying off of the official store.
34,99$ for 3days headstart from g2a.
Almost DOUBLE the price!!!
No I am not here to make advertisment, I am just showing you how insane the differences are.
What are you gonna do who have not bought the game yet but are about to do so?
You can buy from EU overseas in the US the Imperial Edition for roughly 47€. Use a proxy or a VPN through greenmangaming and similar.

I almost went insane.
But then I realized that the one you listed for 34€ is a standard edition, not a collector's.
If you don't like the price, don't buy it.
/thread
Just buy it on g2a then if the key is enough for you.
Yes the prices are very low there. I got RTW2 on g2a for halve the price steam asked for it (which was 55Euros). Was still too much money for RTW2 but anyway. No reason to buy it on steam unless there is a special sale.
Probably has to do with the fact that g2a is located in Poland and they are asking different prices for different regions. Of course this doesn't work anymore in globalisation. But don't make such a fuzz about it or it might be closed soon.
Not planing on paying box and monthly for this game. I can wait until it's in the bargain bin or 75% off and free 2 play.
An item's value is judged by the consumer. If the product is does not hold a perceived value to the purchaser that meets or exceeds the offered price, the item is not purchased.

Yes, stuff is sold cheap on the internetz. Great that you finally noticed! Also, that price is nothing to lose your breath about, there are multiple e-shops sporting the same price range.
Or hey, maybe this is just an ad for the mentioned shop. Who knows?
I paid £29.99 (€36.45 or $50.12USD) for the standard digital download explorers pack early access thingy from GameKeysNow: https://www.gamekeysnow.com/keys/The-Elder-Scrolls-Online (yes, I've used them before with no trouble etc.).
Whilst I agree that the 'average' cost for ESO is too high in comparison with other games, I figured that it's well worth £30.
The UK price for the digital standard edition is £49.99 GBP. This equates to 60.82 Euros, or $83.49 (using a spot check exchange rate).
The price quoted on G2A.COM is for a CD-KEY for the standard version = 34.99 EUROS, which equates to £28.76 GBP
So the UK comparison is £49.99 v £28.76
Both I have listed are Standard.. I even made it bold. But apparently.. no I dont need to continue my rent about consumer blindness. It is apparent.
Gross.
Wow take it easy...
I could say you're the blind one because I didn't say you didn't mention which edition is is. In fact I realized it was the standard edition because you did mention it. Not having a great day or something?
Well it's a bit difficult giving a direct comparison with other ptp mmo games, as there's not many about. The most recent one would be FFXIV ARR.
The price for the standard digitial edition on the Square Enix site here is £19.99 GBP.
Looking at ftp, the Guild Wars 2 official price - for the standard edition is £34.99 GBP. Although there are uk/eu sites that discount this, with the lowest I can find at £20.43
It's not "down the street" though. It's just annoying that industrial countries, some with very similar salaries, still have to pay 20-50% more for the same content.
Take Hongkong for example, they have to pay 200% extra for digital games, even though their average salary is significantly lower than that of say England.
[mod edit]Fascinating, yes I should just leave the rest of the test which is drifting of into cynism straight out of the context. Should make it sound less aggressive. Excluding your reasoning, which again was not correct except pointing out my aggressiveness - thank you.
There are ways to get the Imperial Edition for 64$ / 47€ - just look it up the internet. Easy.
But still, the official shop prices should be avoided at all cost, if Bethesda does not consider lowering them accordingly to what is offered elsewhere, legally.
..might even get cheaper as the launch arrives - funny right? Normally things get more expensive
The prices on the official site are unlikely to change.
It would be very bad PR for the developer to charge the same as their retailers. Charging less would be unthinkable. That's just how things work in retail.
Every retailer that is given the opportunity of selling your product "at a discount" automatically gives you free advertising when they promote their "special price deal !!".
When some site (with a dodgy rep) sells game keys for 50% less than everyone else, I stay clear on principle, but that's just me.
Oh c'mon, what do i actually "buy" ?!
I have the client already installed and while purchasing the digital download, there is nothing beside of a software that im allowed to use for a restricted time and dont actually own it.
Im happy paying a subscribtion fee and im not interested in buying a box with pets and papers, i actually just want to play the game, so why should i pay a initial fee ?
A "BOX" price is for a box, that you can hold in your hands, nothing wrong with that, for the ones that like to have the box.
So, why do they want me to pay 50 bucks for what exacly ?
Safehouse Gaming up and running at: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnKd0Hk85CQ_N04Ae7v5zZg
Your whole reasoning was driven by aggressiveness so you were very wrong to begin with.
But listen, let's all be friends...we all want to play
Be sure to buy in the US, with a proxy or VPN. At least 30% cheaper
Edit: Referal added to Mainpost due to request.
Look on the first page of this thread; I posted a link to a cheaper deal.
