Will there be racial non horse mounts

 

cant stop envisioning my catweazle like wizzard riding on his Guar mount.... Trying to catch up with the other Pvpers...

    Heh I haven't thought about Catweazle for decades was one of my fav shows from my childhood in Australia watching shows on the ABC in the afternoon after school.

    Along with Dr Who,The Goodies,Worzel Gummidge and Monkey.

    I hope not.  I'd prefer the game to stay in mid/low fantasy setting.  Perhaps if it is mounts that you find in the world I'd like that.

    Nope, Zenimax has said a number of times that it will be horses only.

    Actually they said it will be horses only at release...

     

    How could one little guar low speed mount ... thats allready used as a packmule all over ebonheart.....   hurt immersion?

     

    But somehow i agree with thier stance, main riding annimals are horses, and if you add others like for example the Guar, you should make sure they will not ruin the immersion and be all over the place, adding them as low speed mounts for RP things could be kind of fun tough...

    How the hell do you even mount a Guar, it would be like riding a yoga ball at 20MPH.  Maybe some others, or maybe if you put a basket on top like an elephant, but I just can't see riding one of those beach balls even at low speeds as an actual mount.  The Guars in this Era seem pre-breeding for riding, big ol fatties at least in AD where food, sunshine, and those fun/lazy tropical days are in abundance.  They need to hit the gym or something before we could ride them.  Maybe they are all anemic looking in the other factions due to the constant famine or the depressing swamp/snow/volcano atmosphere.  image

    That would fit my catweazle wizzard very well, a skippyball mount...

    Some races are more suitable for mounting than others... personally, I would never ride an Argonian.

    Agree; there are some things that simply don't belong.

    As an original RIFT enthusiast, let me point out the silly and out-of-place squirrel and bird mount they've introduced... kills it.

    I do not want a cup of Ramen soup on my mount either.

    I'm all for it if it fits the lore.
