Yeah nah.  Aside from the starter experience being a bit dull (until level 5ish), the game is pretty much ready to go now. Hardly any bugs compared to certain other games nearing launch.

Yeah I can't wait to put some more time into this game, early levels are a tad rocky but once you get rollin it's pretty fun. I just hope they stick to there guns concerning challenging content.

At this point, all that really needs testing is raids/end-game content.  It already has more polish and less bugs than most released games.  I see a late June release with OB starting at end of May or early June.

December might not be far off. Unfortunately they're behind the 8 ball. The great big, fat, shadow-casting 8 ball that is WoD. So WoD was at Blizzcon 2013, so you know it's got to be released before Blizzcon 2014. So that puts it somewhere between now and November? However, it's more likely to be late spring or early summer. Or they could decide to be complete a-holes and just sit on Wildstar until they announce a release date, at which point, they could announce that they're trumping Wildstar's release and releasing the same day, which basically screws Wildstar, to an extent. Personally, I plan on playing Wildstar, but if WoD is out, Wildstar won't get any of my time.

With ESO announcing before them on this side of the summer months, it's difficult to say where they'll release. However, the fact they haven't given a date yet isn't a sign that it's polished to where they want it. December isn't completely out of the question.

Actually that would not be an unfair maneuver, it would be a very good business decision.  I mean releasing your expansion on the same day as your perceived likely competition when you are the established brand and they are the new guy on the street is just great marketing.

This game cannot come soon enough - very excited to see a developer listening to the community, putting on the polish, and striving to put new concepts and mechanics in place.

Best guess - 3 months after ESO launch to pick up all the disappointed players.  Just sayin'

I see them waiting till a release date of WoD is released considering that is their target audience. I don't see many people who are interested in ESO moving to WildStar if ESO flops due to the fact the two games are fundamentally different.

Looking forward to this beta weekend to see what they can do for the player who likes both types of games.

This is my guess on Wildstar.

Pax East (April 11-13) - announce pre-order / release date

2 weeks after Pax, (early May) Open Beta for 2 weeks.

Last couple of weeks in May, getting ready for the masses and pre-order headstart.

    Release June 3 or June 10, 2014.

I do believe it will be this Spring though.

I'm beginning to lose interest with this game. Maybe I got on the hype train to early...IDK. I swear the initial intended release was suppose to be Dec. 2013, then it was moved to Spring 2014, and here we are still waiting on any sort of relative release schedule. Not to mention I signed up for the beta like a year ago and have yet to be invited to so much as a weekend stress test let alone the actual closed beta. Kind of getting annoying IMO.

Though the two games are sort of fundamentally different, I don't think that will hinder people who are interested in ESO from jumping ship to Wildstar if/when ESO flops.  Most MMO players seem to be diverse enough to be able play all types of MMOs, from WoW to SWG,...  from Lotro to EVE....etc.  I think the drive to jump on the newest shiny MMO or the need for diverse gameplay is stronger than the feeling of sticking to one sub-genre in MMOs.  Sure, some people simply refuse to play games based on art style or the number of abilities present on a hotbar, but I think those types of players are more of a minority.

Whoopity-flippin-dooo!!! Another set of closed betas I won't get invited to, despite being signed up in the first hour they were offered. There should be some pull for time signed up. *Sigh* Am I bitter and whiney? Damn right I am. Ha Ha!

I really wanted a beta key and it never happened. Really looking forward to getting my hands on this game,

So 3 questions.. Is there underwater combat? Is there air combat? And the last question is there mounted combat?

Oh and for anyone who has installed the game already, does this game use nProtect Gameguard?
