Can you actually play the game now?

The website makes it sound like if you donate, you can access the game right now.  But I see lots of posts about Pre-Alpha.  So my question is, can you play the game now or not?

 

And if you can play now, can you play every day, or only at certain times because the servers aren't up around the clock?

    Yes you can play, but its pre alpha.

    So theres not alot you can do, basically just a couple vendors in the starting town and go out and kill some mobs and players. Nothing much else atm. But theres a big update today. Im logging in now and again to watch progress.

    To gain pre alpha access you just have to donate $11 on their site.

    So, the servers are up pretty much 24/7?

    23/7 ;) Sometimes server goes down as we are on Pre-Alpha. But most of the time you can play.

    yes you can play right now, its a little rough around the edges, and very hard to get the hang of, but its got a lot of potential.  I tossed down the $10 to give a little support and to see what there is to see, and while I have access, I just dont have the time to play the game at its state.  But its good to know I can jump back in at any turn

    Thanks for the replies.  I'll probably get in on this.  $10 isn't much.  The game looks like it has a lot of potential.

    The pre-alpha is very feature lacking at the moment. So don't expect to be entertained much.

    Expect to have an early look at the game and test out some of their systems.

    Been playing pre-alpha for about a year now. I skipp some patches and them come back if they have added some new stuff. It already looks awesome and this game has so much potential :)

    I bought this the other day. So far I like it, but I sold off my Plate Armor and bought leather because I was tired of killing everything so easily.

    As afresh pre - alpha GV donator (and tester), I must say I have come much more interested in this game than previous. So far GV team have done huge (and good) work. Pre- alpha is, naturally,  poor in content, but this what is implanted in current state of the game, and "feeling" - are great for me.

    I am looking  forward to alpha and (hope) beta versions :)

    Yeah can't wait for the first full version of the game. I've been in the small pre-alpha test version for a year now :p
