Well, they are already planning more skill lines, thieves guild/dark brotherhood, crime, a Darkfall like dungeon in PVP, more adventure zones for groups of 12 players, so we can skip those. Maybe player housing but not sure where they would even put it and also it won't be until a year or so out before we see a feature that doesn't add to the actual meat of the game.
Other than those I would like to see what other people think of, right now I'm drawing a blank but wanted to at least list the ones that are already planned and don't really need discussion.
If they do player shops they should be actual physical locations and they should have some sort of system where you have to earn them... not just buy them or complete a small quest.
So I understand why they dont want chat bubbles, and Im okay with that. But what they need instead is a "close" chat filter. Meaning I can only see what people (not NPC's) are typing say within 20-30 feet from me.
I would love to turn off local "wide area" chat and just communicate with the people around me, and see what they are saying. That way its more immersive than watching a chat in local, or global, and the people are like 1/2 a mile away.
"I understand that if I hear any more words come pouring out of your **** mouth, Ill have to eat every fucking chicken in this room."
additional content like the adventure zones for starters. more skill line's, skyshards, and VR's to keep people progressing their character.
IMO i don't think meaningful housing is a possibility in this game due to the megaserver.
i would also really really like a lot more passives to spend AVA points on.
even if they only work in cyrodiil. just give us more ways to advance our characters at end game and that will go a long way in terms of longevity for this game.
i realize that presents balancing issues but if it only provides advantages in cyrodiil, i don't see the major issue.

where are these "physical locations"? other than cyrodiil, no locations are static.

I think he means having say a stall to sell your wears or even a shop.
I think thats a great idea if its a progression thing for crafters.

i know but what if more than one person had their shop in the same location then happened to be in the same phase?
same logic goes for player housing, which is why i don't think it is possible unless they are just instances like EQ2.
I would like to hunt rare spawns with ultra rare loot. Npcs/mobs that can roam entire zones. Dueling option. Underwater zones. Maybe not combat yet but make it so like you could dive into a lake or something and discover an entrance that leads into a cave etc... Unique items like relics. Introduce some other forms of death penalties like XP loss and items becoming unusable or perhaps give players option to create characters on some hardcore ruleset server.
1. Dueling with "auto-decline duel requests" option in gameplay options
2. Group and guild-duels
3. Speech bubbles with toggle that are defaulted to OFF
4. Arena system wholly unlike the e-sport of WoW but more like a real arena or the one from Oblivion. Allow gold betting, PvE as well as PvP events, etc. Make it player-run so there are no official rankings or anything.
5. Make horses actual entities not just a hammerspace mount. When you get off your horse it should stay in-world and its nameplate should be able to be seen by all.
The last beta after the change of the starter zones had a TON of bugs, but the server was brought up again this past weekend to test the overflow server on Saturday for a few hours. Every bug that I ran into (which were 7 quest related) was fixed and the quest was working properly. I think they have made much progress on bugs. So excited!!!
4. Arena system wholly unlike the e-sport of WoW but more like a real arena or the one from Oblivion. Allow gold betting, PvE as well as PvP events, etc. Make it player-run so there are no official rankings or anything.
Man, a deep gladiator system would be awesome! It could take place in Cyrodiil once they do something with it and events could be scheduled. There could be a really deep system there if done right. Can have fights that lead up to a championship match to obtain/defend the title "Champion of Tamriel." There should definitely be official rankings!
Separate bag space for crafting materials. More UI options. Fewer knee jerks.

For me the worst part was questing which will be over at VR10 so there is a lot to look forward too
For PvP: More meaningful secondary objectives and I would like to see this darkness falls dungeon everyone keep raving about.
For PvE: Raid-ish content is clearly under development, hopefully they'll get that out in a reasonable amount of time. While I don't personally want it I would be surprised if they didn't add more solo questing content for the "Elder Scrolls fans."
As someone mentioned housing would be nice but I feel like it's about as on the priority list as housing was at WoW launch.
I was also going to say an AH as well... but I bet the whole no AH thing was a hidden time sink so I don't expect this anytime soon... at least not until they're more confident in their level of content.
For example, once they are released, a person joining the thieves guild/dark brotherhood should be given the option of joining it with the intent of reaching the top and destroying it or reaching the top and being the boss.

All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.
If they do player shops they should be actual physical locations and they should have some sort of system where you have to earn them... not just buy them or complete a small quest.
More diversity in weapons and armors.
More matched armor sets to choose from.
A better chat system.

Will add more...
Ships and ship to ship combat. You can already swim, you just can't swim under the water.

Added NPC collision and more choice and freedom?
Yeah, totally wrong direction, not. I don't feel sorry for people who need their hand held the whole time.
1: Thieves Guild,
2: Dark Brother Hood,
3: Player / Guild housing,
4: More places to Explore
"atm there is only about 20 zones, not including dungeons,"
but I know it'll all be good, since the devs stated around every 2 months there will be major updates with a lot of content!!
More multiple morality pathing with crest lines.
For example, once they are released, a person joining the thieves guild/dark brotherhood should be given the option of joining it with the intent of reaching the top and destroying it or reaching the top and being the boss.
Auction House.
Player Housing.
A normal MMO UI, or better Add-ons.
BETTER Armor Tessellation.
