I don't normally post in these forum but I do read them with interest . I recently followed a link on this websites forums to the website directoplay.com . I did a few background checks on what others were saying about the site and all seemed ok and given they use paypal it seemed that they were a legitimate business . So I decided to save some money and buy a key from them . All went through ok and on paypal and it states on my paypal receipt that the key comes with three days early access . Upon trying to apply the key today it says that it is invalid . When I try to go to their customer support site it wont sign in as it says it doesn't recognise my user name or pass word ( Even though I am logged in to the site to order the game on another page ) . I have started up a dispute via paypal and I guess if I lose the money it wont break the bank but I don't want any one else to be in the same situation . I guess I will wait a few months now till the games cheaper because I don't want to spend another 40 pounds on it if I have been ripped off .

As Goldnugget says:
You should get 2 keys.
Early Access key (which is now).
And a full retail key (when the game is released).
Weird.
I will say this- I was very leery about using direct2play. Finally I broke down and tried them- Have been using them without problem ever since.
I think the savings are amazing and I have zero complaints. I have nothing to do with their company and in no way a shill (read my posts lol) but I have had bought a ton of games from these guys and saved a ton of money and I give credit where credit is due
Sorry that happened to you OP . I know things have been really shaky with the launch today and perhaps that has something to do with it?
Then the key is not right, or it is already in use.
I redeemed my headstart key just fine. I accidently requested it again and it said Invalid Key.
But under Billing history I can see mine just fine.
Thats my assumption too . I couldn't sign into their customer support with even though I am logged into my account elsewhere so I have had to start a dispute with them on paypal .
The website finally let me send a customer support message . This is the response I got .
"it says its invalid because you are writing a wrong digit , also tell the me website where you are trying to use the code"
A bit rude don't you think and also making assumptions and stating it as an accusation rather than a question . I have sent a courteous response asking why she thinks I would contact them without checking serveral times first and linking the website to them . I actually have the beta client already downloaded so I simply clicked on the "account" button on the launcher .
It will be interesting to see how she responds .
You've never had a bad day and wrote something you probably would look back on and say "I could have done that better" .Well, most of us probably have.
I have to give you props for this though
" I have sent a courteous response asking why she thinks I would contact them without checking serveral times first and linking the website to them"
I've had plenty of bad days . That was my impression too that she had had a bad day . Theres no point in being rude back .
try enter the keys manualy. sometime copy and paste just doesnt do because they protect keys when send out to you.
just an suggestion.
not sure to be honest, i just went to there web site and the only ESO i see says "This title is currently pre-order only. Your key will be sent on release day to your email." are u sure u didnt get that 1? or maybe they sold u the pre-order one but ran out of keys and just gave u the reg one?
P.S its $42.99
P.S.S ok found the page that said plus early access, but if u scroll down a bit it says "Your purchase include: The base game + 30 day subscription, it do not include the early access." they might of scam u out of the early access part....
