Prodigy: New KickStarter Campaign Begins

Figurine, RPG project, Prodigy, is turning to KickStarter to see its vision for a unique game come to life. The studio is hoping to reach a goal of $100,000 and bring the game to fruition in Q4 2015.

"With this Kickstarter campaign, we’re looking to find dedicated gamers interested in our combination of physical figurines and digital gameplay," said Jean Bey, CEO and Creative Director, Hanakai. “By joining us as backers we can organise a much broader alpha than we would be able to do alone. Our players will be directly involved in the development process, giving us valuable feedback in the alpha version and fine tuning Prodigy into the best possible game."

My only question would be the cost of that pad the figures stand on and the cost of the figures and cards as well? Most people dont want to pay much more then 60 bucks for a game. Cool idea but will it fit gamers pocket book?

Hey, it's that 'Skylanders for adults' thing again. I'd contribute (I'm a sucker for collectibles), but right now I'm just Kickstarter'd out. I'm already waiting on too many projects as it is.

Plus this looks like a CCG, just with figurines. PVP focus = Not interested.

    I wish them luck though.

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

Too many kickstarters based on silly ideas.  This is one of them.

If we are giving out points for creativity? Then these guys get some serious points.

Now the question remains whether or not creativity points alone are worth kickstarter cash...

RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

Anyone else think of J.P. from Grandma's Boy when they saw the guy talking about the game for the first time?

This definitely looks like if Skylanders and The Eye of Judgement had a baby. It looks really cool to be completely honest but it will probably cost quite a bit just to play so I don't know if it will be worth the initial investment.
