Trion Worlds has put its ArcheAge team to work in a brand new ArcheAge live stream. This time, the AA team takes viewers on a virtual world tour that includes several locations around the game world.

    I could be mistaken but these guys avoid showing combat like the plague.

    They keep saying sanbox and yet players in the game argue if it is a sandbox.   Which is it?

    All these live stream events are starting to seem a little d**kish. "Hey, guys, look at this awesome game you can't play yet and have been waiting years for!" "look at how awesome the world looks, isn't it beautiful, don't you all just wanna play it too?" Give me a break. It's like they are trying to force new hype into a game that lost most of it.

    Yeah was hoping for this and it was my bag,but the combat to me is very generic hard to comment on quests as most were guess work even with the patch other than that everything else was pretty good,I will try the Trion release version until then I'm happy with ESO.

    I gotta say, when I first saw videos of this game I thought the graphics and environment looked amazing.  After playing ESO, Archeage doesn't look nearly as good graphically.

    its because the combat is garbage . black desert and EQN have more to show and even ESO looks better combat wise 

    Could you explain what exactly is wrong with combat here? (honest question, im not fanboy nor hater, just curious)

    I am in alpha and its really mix of sandbox and themepark. The combat is fine, its not that bad. But to be honest I have played ESO and Wildstar but I have much better time playing ArcheAge alpha than those previously mentioned titles :-)

    Going out on a limb here and gonna say some people will not like it because its tab target/hot key combat. A good amount of people are pushing away from the hot key style in favor of more action oriented combat. Since hot key combat has been around for so long some people are just bored of it, others feel it requires no skill. This is why we see so many games that are coming and have come out that highlight the fact that they have action combat.

     

    To be honest I like AA's combat, especially the way they implemented the combos. It gives a little more flavor to a otherwise static form of combat.

    seems to be alot of lore and complex background stories of the races throughout its history, makes it very interesting. i do like the different graphical texture of culture they provide with each race
