Need help picking a race for Templar class

in Elder Scrolls Online

I can't decide what the best race is, I,ll prob be a sword and board Templar but not sure which races stats are best? 

Dint want to play as an Argonian as they are ugly, so am thinking Breton?

    Breton is good for Sword and Board...armor looks good to.  If straight healer Argonian get the best buffs, but if that is secondary for you then Breton is a good choice.

    The race boosts aren't that great. Just pick which race has a lore you like and a toon you can stand to look at for hours on end. I picked Nord even though I am not going two hand weapon. I just think the Nord are cool. I can buff with food, drinks, potions. I can get better stats through armor as well.

    Think I'll go for Breton I just love heavy armor shield wearing healers :) 

    what would be a good 2nd weapon? Not a fan of bows

    Mace/Shield  and a healing staff for the other. That's what I would do.

    Breton is nice, but I gotta say... Redguard all the way! :D
