Ways To Level Up?

So is there any VIABLE way to lvl up except quests?

Should someone stay away from ESO if he hates questing?

Whats the optional way to lvl up with the same pace as questing?

You could just beat on MOBs endlessly, like the old school ways.

Mobs give you little XP and generally do not drop very good loot either. This is a quest oriented game for the most part..

What about dungeons & PvP? Are there any public quests worth the xp? Doing quests while in a party rewards you more than doing them alone? What options you have in order to avoid solo questing, but having the same pace to leveling?

Its a very linear and limited game unfortunately, trying to force everyone to do just this to advance  I think this is a huge part of the negativity of the game.

Dungeons to me are questing.  There is always a quest in a dungeon.  You can run the group dungeon all day long, but the XP in it is rather useless.  Might as well stand outside and beat on MOBs.

Like the other guy said, questing is the most efficient way to advance.  Its unfortunate.

Run, don't walk away from this game if you hate questing.  I made the mistake thinking the other parts of the game would overshadow the constant questing...I was wrong.  If you don't like having NPC's dictate your every move you won't like this game.

So i must do solo questing to max lvl and then solo questing until VR10. Nice...

Yes, you can level with minimal questing.  The people who leveled up the fastest did it via AOE mob killing, and there are guides on Tamriel Foundry on how to do it and where to go.  If you don't like quests, however, this game probably isn't your style.  You're paying for the fully voice-acted quests and the tons of books and the like to read in game; you can play a game against the grain, but there are probably other styles that you'd prefer.

1st off there is the main way to level up in ESO which is questing, because exploiters have ruined the dungeon and pvp xp.   zenimax currently is finding a way to make dungeons and pvp leveling viable option again.

So that said, if you do not like quests as a way to level up you might hate this game, but on the other hand, no other mmorpg has quests as good as ESO has them.   So you might enjoy these types of quests even if you did not enjoy past quests like in wow or those type of quest based games.

Also they have added PVP daily quests in Cyrodiil now, so you can now halfway level up as decent as questing if your an all PVP type person, but its not at the level it should be to be equal with quest xp.

I like WoW style games but i also like questing in some other games.

I cant just imagine why instead of keep playing Skyrim, i have to pay a sub fee for ESO, while there is nothing except Cyrodill that gives me reasons or rewards me for group play. And if i m going to play solo questing then Skyrim is the best choice out there, plus its sub free :)

Well if you like only PVP, then do the daily quests of cyrodiil,  its slower but you don't HAVE to quest if you don't want to, but then again you'll miss the entire RPG side of the game, the storyline of the game.

    1-50

You can aoe grind mobs or quest, those are both viable ways to level.

    Veteran Ranks

You have to quest and do all the points of interest (public dungeons, world bosses, etc). Grinding mobs is not efficient outside of a couple of minor spots which are over camped and probably not working as intended.

    Instanced Dungeons

These are worth doing for the skill points and loot, though loot drops aren't guaranteed. Endgame PvE will also be Craglorn, group and raid content only, no solo content.

But if you don't think there is value in paying for an Elder Scrolls MMO, then nothing they do or we say is going to change that. From my point of view, I've done everything in Skyrim and I know there won't be another single player game for a long time, as they are doing Fallout next. So ESO is fine by me.

Thx all for the responses. I ll stick to Skyrim as my questing game, as i don't think ESO deserves a sub fee comparing to it. Maybe some time in the future. Thx again.

Sounds like you already made up your mind before you posted the thread.  lol.

Its like going to a dealership and knowing your not going to buy anything but force the salesguy to use every pitch on you before you say, no thank you.
