Yo bros,
Just a thread to discuss with others about how they feel towards the current stance on bugs. If any of you do not currently have the game, I STRONGLY suggest against buying it until even the most common bugs are fixed.
This game is entirely plagued with bugs. I mean, everywhere. This game has more bugs in it than Starship Troopers does during their invasion. The game has been about for over a month now and I have seen little progress at all towards these fixes.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

I don't know if you are the only one that feels that way. However, you will be flamed for feeling that way.

honestly, the more i play the more they patch it, the more bugs do i get... quests not working, abilities not reacting (this is SO annoying but at least it doesnt hinder progress)...about now about 10-15% of all quests are broken - some i can workaround...right now i havbe found one i cant - questgiver is invisible - non amount of workaround fixed the problem.
It is my believe that these bugs have nothing to do with being persistant bugs since i seem to be the only one getting that specific one but that it is a result of the phasing and megaserver technology - as such i am not sure if that can be fixed...what is frustrating is that its the only mmo where the amount of bugs has substantially increased over time than decreased...the only reason im still playing is cause combat is fun (when it works):
Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
Any way I'm having fun and I suggest buying the game, by the way my nick is trhel eu server if you wanna check out that im being truthful, and by the way the game is up for less then a month and I for one think its considerably polish since I dont except a 100% polish bug free MMO at release...
Many people above just explained some bro. I can give several examples... first and foremost being the bug in which causes a skill used to do nothing and lock the player from using any sort of ability (can be fixed with hitting esc, opening inventory, etc). A portion of quests are bugged that require endless amounts of work arounds.
For example, the one the dude above is talking about is the Grahtwood quest. You're approached by a elf that wants you to go to a prison and find someone with a M name (I have forgotten as I have since progressed). If you take the quest from the capital, it won't work and the mob is invisible. You have to go elsewhere and take it (again with the work arounds instead of fixes).
Or lets talk about the quests that make you constantly activate objectives some of the time which require you to angle your camera/move for a period of time before it catches it to press E.
I can go on and on man.
I will agree the game had a rocky 1st week, and may have the occasional bug, but it is imho a far cry from being "plagued with bugs". Your experience may be different. I didn't think I was going to like this game, but was surprised by the scope, depth and fun I am having with it. I do recommend it, and respectfully disagree with the OP.
That's not to say there shouldn't be some improvements, IMO the banking system needs some help, and the dam# Gold selling spammers are beyond annoying.
YO BRO
as a lot of people explained - these bugs are not consistant, they seem to vary from time to time and player to player- e.g. an issue with their server and phasing technology...and if you want prove of that - yesterday 8! hours maintenance for eu - today AGAIN maintenance for eu server - and you guessed it - tomorrow again scheduled maintenance for the eu server...
You must have a very forgetful memory then. I just described a broken quest to you. You can have your hopes, but at this point I just expect the worst to not be upset when even more bugs arise.
Have you seen the list of bug fixes at their test server:
http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/87867/patch-notes-v-1-1-inc-craglorn-from-pts
At this point I'd suggest that none should buy the game before the update is released. However, I think they could be doing a lot worse job with fixing the bugs, and after update 1.1 the bugs might be at tolerable level.
That list though! You know everyone is just going to shun you on it and say "it's a test server, its suppose to be bugged". To me this all comes down to a poor design.
Also at the time of posting, yet another bug. I'm doing the quest, Moonhenge's Tear and I am required to have to relog to see the NPC. I have already done it for the last objective. Got some screenshots this time for our friend here.
Will post after I convert it from this horrible image system ESO uses by default.
That is a pretty high assumption for a game company that cant even ban the right bots, or as said in this post makes more bugs with their patches. You have a high level of faith if you think that with this huge patch, and content they are adding that it is going to fix more bugs than it makes. My prediction is, when they release it, soon after the server will crash, and need a 12 hour down time. There will be 10 more dupes added with the patch. The gold spam will double, and finally 1000 people will be banned, because they opened their bank after the patch, and get banned for cheating.
I know thats all neg, but being pos like you are isnt helpful. There is a low chance that that patch is gonna make the bugs tolerable.
Wait till they ban you for no reason, and you wont even get a email explaining why your banned. You just wont be able to log in. Then when you call the customer support, they will tell you that well you were banned. You will be like well i didnt do anything fix it. They will respond were sorry we cant help or do anything at all besides give you useless information. We will however send your request along to the next team. So you say well can i talk to this team, and they will tell you no. Then maybe you will be mad enough to go I want to speak to a manager, and they will respond to you that there are no managers you can talk to.
They wont hang up though, you can keep this conversation of nothing going on for hours. Then 3-7 days later, you will prolly get un banned.
You made a thread & asked us to discuss how we feel about the current stance on bugs & you claim that the game is being plagued with bugs..well I'm sorry but i have to Disagree with you because I don't have the bugs you have! If that makes me a fanboy with a very forgetful memory maybe it's time for all of us that like ESO to make new accounts & post only negative stuff even we don't have problems with it.
PS: I'm not a man but looks like I have bigger @_@ from some hardcore crying babies here!
People love to complain. About the only people who dont, are very well in control of their thought processes. Not to many can claim that. It makes us feel better to post it hear, and see that other people have the bugs. It is the same concept as when you play the game, and you tell every one that your having a good time, and they call agree with you. I dont agree with you telling every one to create new accounts, and make up lies. That is 1000 times more negative than anything that was said in this post. I guess your saying that every one that is in this thread is making up stories about bugs.
I guess you do not play very much if you have no seen any bugs in this game. I played a total of around 60 hours, and I have got flung up at the sky, stuck in the ground, seen more npc stuck in the ground then i care to remember, abilities not going off when i click, the bank and auction house not switching between guilds, and the biggest one of all getting banned because i reported a gold spammer. Those are just the ones i can think of off the top of my head.
I am not gonna say you have a bad memory, what i will say is that you like the game a lot, according to what you are saying. So people who like something, can miss things that other people who dont like it or dislike it. Just as people who dislike it can see things that shouldent really be bothering them.
Here is a example when i first started for my first 2 days i was really excited about playing. I am sure i missed lots of bugs, because they were no concern of mine. I really loved the world, and was putting my self totally into the game. After day 2 they banned me for reporting a gold spammer. That really pissed me off, now i hated the game. When I finally got unbanned after 3 days, I went back in. Now that my hate for them was great, I was no longer focused on playing the game, I was focused on my hate, which pointed out everything i could possibly think of to show me how bad the game was.
To sum up, the problem is that Zenimax has pissed off so many people, with so many things. From bans with no reason or email or prooff, to charging people 14.99 at the first day they put their code in. To things like getting terrible responses from their customer support. Also just the bugs in general, have caused a lot of anger towards zenimax. Not even getting into that many wanted coop skyrim, not phasing with no way to play with friends. With all this anger every one isnt even really playing any more. We are all just seeing everything bad the game has to offer. Just like all your seeing is how great the game is.
The fact that skills/weapon swap freeze or just plainly don't do anything is a major bug for me.
That and the dupe bug that was fixed, but its too late, teh gazzilibillions gold duped are already poured into the economy, and sooner or later you'll feel how worthless gold will be...
I'll make my final opinion on them in 2-3 months, I've already dropped the sub, but i'll wait to see what they do and if they do it fast enough, because atm all I see is a money grab with everything they've done, and not enough man power nor skilled enough to handle a massive MMORPG, their team feels more like a private server team tbh, feels like the main team that built the game went into slumber or something.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
lol.
On a serious note, I dont think there is a good enough computer to play this atm. My overclocked 290x at 1250 1800, camt even pull off 60fps on a constant bases. I mean sure it goes as high as 140fps, but in like daggerfall with 50 people on my screen it drops to 50fps. I could see a 780ti getting around 55-160fps. Atm though with no full screen, I dont think the game can be maxed at 1080o, and sure as hell couldent be ran at 4k res.
Your insults aren't needed. I see your comments are directed towards me and I would point out at no point in this thread have I insulted anyone (beyond Zenimax Studios maybe). You have expressed your opinion and I have mine.
I'm glad though, you didn't experience the plague of bugs in this game... I really am. Unfortunately from what I have heard from friends, seen in zone chat, and am seeing some here is a lot of us aren't as lucky as you or just don't want to tell the truth about it. Nothing again fan boys... just something against those types of fan boys that pretend as if these issues are not existent and anyone with them is wrong.
Some folks definitely experience them to be sure, but chances are it won't be you, at least not to any significant degree.
I certainly didn't find it to be a bug filled mess, nor have any of my friends I game with.

For examples see the patch notes probably close to 50 quest bugs individually mentioned as well as many blanket 'fixed many bugs due to...' just from 1.06 the most recent.....

Yeah I had a couple of friends in the Daggerfall that didn't really have persistent issues of bugs. I run a cliche Nightblade, dual wield build. I can play for an hour of just combat in a dungeon and experience the skill freeze issue that I described earlier a dozen times. Tends to have more with Rapid Strikes more than anything.
Beyond that I cannot count how many times I have had to do some sort of workaround for a quest to work. I stressed a lot of this during the beta phase which it seems their very limited amount of players being able to test beyond just a weekend weren't able to see all these bugs. A lot of these could of been avoided had they of done a traditional beta experience.
