You're right - there are a few minor tweaks with those few bug fixes.

I reckon BioWare have 1 programmer working on SWTOR + a large PR team hyping up every minor change.

This ratio of programmers to PR people has been similar right from the start of SWTOR - I reckon it's how they wasted the $100 million that was supposedly spent on the game.

I almost felt like they paid MMORPG.COM to hype people.. Why else would they write YAY.. smells like a hidden comercial

Pretty much what I think. Plus the lack of innovation generally makes the smallest tweak seem more significant than it really is.

    What's wrong with launcher?

If you don't have the BitRaider web client unblocked in your firewall, then the launcher won't update, its a common mistake some people make, the launcher itself is fine.

How about Hero engine? I had like 20-30 fps in 16men on my gtx 690 and @4.8ghz i7 last time I've played. I cancelled my sub only because of this optimization issue, even if it is great game for me, I just couldn't take it.

I did. Then a read the comments and i went to read it again. Then i couldnt understand WTH is going on and maybe im missing something so i went to official site and read patch notes there.

It seems like some bug fixing is very rare occurance nowdays in SWTOR so people get all hyped up about it. Is that it?

It's truly amazing almost three years in, tons of updates and content added people still cry and whine anytime anyone mentions Swtor.  Just like every other mmo it's not for everyone posting ignorant comments like they have one programmer just makes people sound like desperate pathetic haters .

Move on find a game you enjoy and stop making ridiculous comments a something you know nothing about.

Lol don't worry about them. Game is fine for those that enjoy it. Sure there are some issues lingering, but not many and nothing game breaking. Game is great for those that enjoy it.

I do love SWTOR I think it is a fabulous game. I betaed then played thorough out the launch and awhile after although I stopped playing I did not give up my sub. I probably should have but I like the game so what the heck.

The guy complaining about the ui thing you can buy the unlock in game for in game currency. No problem at all.

Hmm. Is it me or have MMORPGS players gone into a very depressive state these days? I mean come on, dudes! Cheer up and chill every now and then. Everything seems to be a competition with you guys. As if someone likes something you need to try and explain it to the person that what he likes is wrong.

Do you even know how stupid that sounds? I like these changes, personally. They are small but they're effective and made the game much easier to work with. Like the pvp changes, terminals, and minor tweaks as you said. However, I'm most excited about the PVP season, housing, guild changes and all that good stuff.

This is just icing on the cake for me and that's what made it a lot better than it may appear to you lot. I'm not saying you are wrong either and that your opinion is somehow invalid but just like music it can vary by taste. I'm just personally happy about this and made me more keen on playing!

    Cheers lads :D

Although I like the graphics, the very poor performance of this engine killed it for me.

I am more than happy to hear, that you and others like this game... It's just the way MMORPG sounds like they are trying to sell a patch. I don't think they would've reacted like that if they didn't get paid. It is also very few fixes for a YAY :-)

    I can be wrong ofc...

    Cheers to you too :-)

Right there with you two. I'm currently playing because a couple friends just picked this up to participate in the PvP. I do miss the stories and quests in this game, but holy crap this game engine. I had been told by my cousin that his friend who helped create this engine was layed off after EA bought it and gave it to Bioware. They built the game on top of an incomplete engine and didn't keep any of the original developers around. The game will never get better performance-wise. My current card is not top of the line, however it was at the time this game was released. When my AMD Gaming Evolved client checks the games settings against my GPU and I set it to Quality settings. I get in game and everything is turned to low or off because of how horrible the graphics engine is. Meanwhile, I play FFXIV on high settings and Skyrim on HD settings. But can't pull a consistent 60fps in SWTOR on low settings. If they just made it so you could turn down the view distance, that alone would breath new life into the game and allow people to bump up the settings and run at stable fps. That and tuning down the resources utilized in their smoke/gas effects which cannot be turned off or down in any way through graphics options.

Not earth shattering news but welcome fixes all the same that impact just about everyone at some point. Nice write-up.

I really want to like this game but there are still some issues that i can't get over:

    * The graphics engine is so laggy and stuttering even with a great machine

    * The characters feel floaty and your never in control

    * Even if you do every single optional side mission and grind for mobs and do space missions, you still are under level when you reach the next area.

    * Paid UI and bags are a ridiculous cash grab that turns more people off than raises revenue for BW.

    * Why aren't they using the SW universe to it's potential. How about some ewoks, wookies, yoda's etc as playable races. People would flock back to create new characters if they could play the races that we grew up with watching the movies.

Don't worry about housing FFS, fix these major problems and the players will come back.

You are best paying for 1-3 months as a subscriber, use it to level faster and make more credits. Then turn around before your subscriber status ends and use your credits to open up inventory space / buy unlocks in the cartel market before your credit is capped by free to play.

Depending on how much time you have to make credits, you can usually buy almost anything in the cartel shop on the galactic trading network. So, it isn't like its a "dealbreaker" that you have to unlock ui elements, as it doesn't even cost that much. Just make sure to buy speedbike piloting which is extremely cheap for level 15 subscriber alts, and make sure to unlock all your inventory spaces before it goes from credit to cartel coins only.

How? I(especially as a free player) have trouble getting enough XP to be at the needed level when I leave. As a subscriber I get a bit ahead but not by much. O.o

I'm with you 100% on the xp off button. would have been a good feature along with downleveling to play in old zones.

While this isnt Star Trek Online, yes, SWTOR is in a major need of Scaling, seems useless to have mission that go active each day but go gray rather fast thus nulling the reward.

Level Scaling is an issue that should have been done everywhere. Basically if you're level 15 and someone joins thats Lv35... it'll scale them down to Lv15 (in respects to damage out-put/HP/DEF) though keeping any learned skills he or she has gained. While still more powerful then a Lv15 person, it wouldnt hurt the "team" as far as the mission goes. The DEV Team IMO thinks to small and mostly about greed.. but it is EA's doing mostly with BioWare just signing off on stuff. The Pay2Win features are rough as well

Games I've Played: SilkRoad, Flyff, NeoCron, PlanetSide, Rapplez, UpshiftRacer, Drift City, TB, Kwonho, ArchLord, AoA, Exteel, WolfTeam, Shaiyan, WoKF, FFXIV, STO, KoTR, ESO, Defiance, Mabinogi

    Games I'm Playing: Warframe/STO

Don't worry about housing FFS, fix these major problems and the players will come back.

    1) I have an older machine and get some lag but it runs fine outside of Fleet.

    2) The characters don't feel floaty, at ALL.  Go see ESO if you want to see what floaty looks like.

    3) This isn't even remotely true unless you're F2P, in which case, stop complaining, you're not paying a dime to play the game anyway.  I outlevel every zone to the point I'm tempted to skip them just to keep up with the leveling curve.

    4) Again, a non-issue.  Just subscribe.  The cash shop can be completely ignored.

    5) I don't care about any of these races, I only play humans anyway.  But this is a suggestion worth addressing for more races.

As for housing, this is a HUGE point.  EVERY game needs to add it.  4/5 of your listed features are utter non-sense anyway and housing will bring back far more people than your proposed changes.

Well I dont know about Housing bring back players. I simply started playing again just to brush up on my toon. I didnt even know about a patch, regardless, the game is far more lifeless then it was when I started so I'm fairly sure the Population is REALLY low now.

I agree... ESO has very krappy animations. I think Mario has better animation then that game and ESO is a very battle seated game.

As far as SWTOR Free and Pay system goes, yes... the "Free" on it is misleading, "Demo" would fit better.

    Nice necro :)

I still stand by all the points i said earlier.

All of the excuses by the SWTOR fan boy were all wrong. I was there since day one mate. Don't try to tell me i'm wrong because i have played a lot of the game.

I still think it is a wasted opportunity as it is the biggest franchise of our age but it is let down by poor technical bugs like the god forsaken graphics engine they used and the sad money grab for hotbars etc.

Housing is such a wasted resource of a developers time and is NOT required by every game.

I would rather they expand the universe a lot more with planets to discover, new races to play, a couple of new classes, a better f2p model and a major graphics engine overhaul.

Fix that and players will come back.

They won't be queuing up for freaken housing.
