The first game in a long time that has me completely sucked in. Have to go to bed right now, and I literally just want to keep playing. My crops are growing, i'm getting closer and closer to my house! Quest leveling is fun, and for the first time ever - I picked my class right on the first try.
p.s. I understand there are those who don't want to fork out $150 to play. It's a lot of money. For those who are on the fence and can afford it, I highly recommend it.

Yes, its the best game i have played in last 8 years.
The part we cant explain, imo is how the features are connected and well implemented in-game. I dont know how to explain but everthing makes sense in AA and well "connected".
Yes , I am starting to feel the same , there are so many things to do in this game , Its hard to where to start !
Also am having a Blast , so glad you are enjoying the game OP
Yes it is, but beta will be next month and theres cheaper packs with beta acess if u dont want to wait for release.
It's the many options you have as far as how you can play the game. Want to level through crafting, go for it. Want to level through pvp go for, what to level through questing.. ect. Your not restricted to leveling just one way, your encouraged to play the game the way you want to play it.
It's €134.99
NEW IDEAS that can refresh the STALE state of MMORPGs
As usual, € <-> $ price is extremely expensive. Using normal conversion rates the price should be around €110, but sadly when you have setup your PayPal account in Europe, you're forced by TRION to use € instead of $ and you'll end up paying €135 >:(
Aside from that, if you want to play, grab either beta package and you won't regret it. Like OP, I'm having tons of fun and it's for the first time in 5 years I've felt this with a MMORPG. There's so much to do in the game. It's not just questing and PvP, but also farming, crafting, trade routes (like in Silkroad online) and much, much more! Sadly AA has no /played command, but I guess I've been playing for over 72 hours already and I'm still 'only' 21.
BOYCOTTING EA / ORIGIN going forward.
Not speculation, they say it in a live stream: June.
In the beginning of the game it does matter. The +3 is quite a lot then. Right now I'm a level 21 magic user with over 80 INT. That +3 doesn't really matter on those levels. I think around level 10 that +3 was already close to worthless (but at least you have a nice cloak )
I'm really trying not to play the game much during Alpha, but I have to agree there is something magical about the world of AA. It feels like a living breathing world and so many little things are done right and how I feel an MMO should be. From the fireworks or knife throwing stands, to the current of the rivers pulling you down stream or the horses following you instead of disappearing and even having folks hop on back for a ride. Many many cool things. Gliding is pretty sweet, but I played Aion, so that cherry was already popped :P
I normally don't craft or anything, but I was very intrigued by the farming aspects and ended up focusing on that last night. I made good progress on my strawberries for that first travel quest and ended up running into someone else farming near my plot and struck up a nice conversation while we were farming. I eventually left to do some quests cause I want to get 15 for the fox and it was really neat seeing the progress the other farms around mine had made in the few hours I was gone and seeing new people farming near as well. I will probably take a break and play Dark Souls 2 most the weekend, but I am so pleased with AA and can't wait for release!
How easy/hard is it to make a boat or build a house? Is that something you can accomplish relatively easily solo? I remember in Vanguard, if it wasn't for the help and generosity of my guildmates, I never would have had such things.
I have the cash, but geez it hurts to think about blowing $150 on alpha/beta access. The curiosity is killing me though.
As am I.......well, except for one thing.
I am not interested in a pre release game.

If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.
It is pvp. There are no plans for a PvE only server as the game and its many systems are designed around pvp being able to happen.
$150 to play? Jesu Christo!!
Seriously though, for having such a steep entrance fee, yet hearing the raves from people who are playing, I am getting hella hyped for this game.
On a side note: what's with the excessive charges for video games for my European and Australian cousins? I call BS.
Eh, I hope they change their tunes on this. I don't think a full PvP game is going to do well here in the states, but I don't claim to be right. Just a hunch. Either way I'm glad you guys are enjoying it and I hope Trion has a successful release, I can't think of a better company to run it here in the states.
Good luck and happy adventuring out there!

AA is really not my style, but I enjoy watching this dude on YT who plays it, he's pretty funny. In his latest video he pushed an afk guy off the dock and dragged him to sea and killed him.
I enjoy most of the aspects of AA, but it's too korean for me. Totally not in a racist way either, I just don't like that style of game
I'm hoping it will improve. But so far it feels average.
ArcheAge is OP.
Nerf ArcheAge!!
All die, so die well.
