Playing on 2 different computers (both using 550 TIs) there was no fps problems or lag.

There have been problems with the game, UI 2.0 introduced a large number of bugs(most of them were gone this past weekend, and I expect it to be polished for the OB). At the beginning of the last weekend there were frequent disconnects, but that was done with by mid-day on saturday. There was a bug where resing someone in an instance would cause them to disconnect, fixed, etc...

They are banging out the bugs relatively quickly, and for the people having performance problems it could be something specific to your hardware(something with the way they interact with the chipset or the specific driver or something) or something in terms of settings(i.e. vsync).

Performance was no issue for me, but I've got a pretty kick ass system.

From the limited information in this thread, maybe it's an issue with the game no being optimized with ATI

I have been in closed beta for a long time, and have not experienced any performance issues since the beta programs infancy. I would also be curious as to what the hardware specs of those who are having issues are. Not that I am accusing you of gaming on a toaster (though I suspect some of you are), but there maybe a link to certain components causing issues. To those that have decent systems, do you regularly update your drivers?

Also if you read the many of the threads/posts in the official forums. Those experiences performance issues are a small minority of the people who play this game.

To stray from this topic a bit. It is not necessary to completely write off a game because you feel you had performance issues while it is in beta. If the problem still exists in the open beta, check it out again a few weeks after launch. Usually these issues are ironed out in the first week or two if they still exist after launch.

Nice! Hopefully this will be a swift kick in the @#$ for Blizzard to open up the WoD beta - I love competition as it can get me the things I want!  I hope this game does well for that reason...no interest on my end as I'm way too invested in WoW lore to play a tongue n cheek Saturday morning cartoon.  Really  hoping Blizzard adopts a CREDD-like system so I can pay my sub with gold... hopefully it's one of the things they "copy" from Wildstar. :)

Knowing all the characters would be wiped I haven't really dived too deeply into it yet. Anyone know if these characters will transfer to live or will they be wiped as well?

No issues here playing on a dinosaur.  Phenom II X4 910 processor @ 2.60ghz. 8 gig ram. AMD Radeon 6850. Win64. 300 watt power supply and zero issues.  I do use a 240gig SSD drive though, so maybe that helps with all the lower system specs.

I already pre-ordered the collector's(?) edition, Got  3 toons at 25 and I'm just ready for launch. I simply love the game. And I intend on wiping on those 40m raids for a long time. Though I have to say That even tough I haven't found any severe "Optimization"  problems I have felt how the game has gotten a bit worse in this area. But usually when these fps drops happen I just reload and they are gone. This also works for  imput lag, which is there, It does exist.

But that doesn't mean that I'm going to disregard the game for that. Look at.... well that other player base from that game I won't name... They have to put up with much worse and there they are =P.

I'm not going to sacrifice having a blast in the future for enduring some bugs or whatnot a few months at the beginning.

Besides, I just love when devs mess up at the beginning, You always get shinnies XD, Some of you might remember Tera's Awesomesauce golden weapons...those were from an oopsie from EME (my favourite publisher/Costumer support EVAR btw)

I'm running an AMD 7970 and haven't had any issues on ultra-high. One or two random lag spikes last weekend and several disconnects early on, but nothing unexpected for a beta.

Then again I've rarely had issues even in games people claim are a problem for "everyone". ToR? Meh, there were lots of problems with that game but, for me, framerate was never one of them. Even in WAR, notorious for slideshow fights once collision detection kicked in, I only had problems on really big fights.

I suspect in a lot of these games there are certain, mostly relatively rare, hardware combinations that are problematic for whatever reason, there are a whole lot of people with badly set-up, infected, and/or systems with ancient drivers, and there's probably more than a bit of "me too!" hatorade that goes around.

If I had to guess, the first category is probably the smallest group.

    By far.

The performance issues were related to the UI overhaul, and most of those problems were fixed over the course of the last weekend which had limited downtime.  Their response time to these issues has been very good.

UI 2.0 had a lot of problems the first weekend.  They patched it with a reported 750+ fixes, and the second weekend was much better, but with a few issues staying logged on...which could be any number of reasons.

If you're jumping ship because of closed beta stability, you'll really be struggling to find a new game within the AAA MMORPG Themepark genre.  And I really think that anybody posting that this is the last straw for them, really didn't like the game to begin with.

No issues running either but I'm wondering if these problems starting occuring for people after the rehaul of the UI? Since I havent had any problems, I can't quite remember when the real problems starting occuring for people.

Just asking. Do you think an ssd can boost the performance of a game in a significant degree, or its only useful for starting up windows etc?

It will only help shorten loading times which depending on how a game is designed.... it could be a significant performance boost.

It ran at about 50fps for me, not sure why y'all were having so much troubles.  Sure it took a while to load some zones and when a lot happened on my screen suddenly I did experience a little chop.

But...it's not like they will leave it like this, so does it really matter?

    Uhh... what?

I don't like this game, but when I tested it, I had no performance issue. I have a mid-end PC.

FYI TO NEW TESTERS: Please play to level 20 and do a dungeon before you judge this game. Sadly pre 20 the game is only MEH! Past level 20 it becomes what Wildstar is and thats when the real fun starts. Do your first boss in a dungeon and you will know if you like this game and the raids.

I'm running an i7-3820, 16 gb RAM, and 670GTX. I haven't updated my video drivers since December. I'm not experiencing any performance issues.

I see occasional glitches like missing nameplates and have a helluva time locating my teammates on the map though.

I think you mean "pre 20" there!

    Phenom II X4 965

    HD6870

    8 GB RAM

Older system, not expecting miracles, but 15 FPS outside of a town on medium is inexcusable for a game which looks like this on a system which exceeds recommended specs. FFXIV doesn't even run that badly in cities, and I've got that game cranked up to near max settings (dungeons and raids are butter smooth).

AN' DERE AIN'T NO SUCH FING AS ENUFF DAKKA, YA GROT! Enuff'z more than ya got an' less than too much an' there ain't no such fing as too much dakka. Say dere is, and me Squiggoff'z eatin' tonight!

If I really can´t get into Wildstar again, my money is on a Archage founder´s pack to try beta.

Epic sandbox vs an Epic themepark. How do you pick? Apples and Oranges lol

    The best game would be:

all the themepard features of Wildstar+ all the sandbox features of Archeage+ Using the lore/skins/setting/graphics of ESO = Epic MMO

I heard people hate the game because they think it's, 'WoW-like', even if they've never played it. They then spread bullshit on forums because it's not to their taste.

Also Archeage/ESO/Black Desert, (or any other game your interested in), is so crap it can make your graphics card blow up. True story.....

Sarcasm aside, having played since closed for about 3 months, there's always been certain performance issues for me, connecting from Europe though. Especially with particle effects. This has been compounded a bit with the UI update which seems to be a more widescale problem for many.

Carbine are aware of it. Is it enough time to fix before the open beta? Unlikely I'm afraid.

This looks like a job for....The Riviera Kid!

^ These are the issues people are talking about.

I done tests on 2 configurations and the preformace was definitely lacking.
