Ok so Black Gold Beta begins today at 2pm PDT

Mmorpg.com gave away 10k Beta keys

 

So how many people looking forward to trying out Steampunk meets Fantasy MMO in the next 8 hours?

    I tried to download the client couldn't finish the downlaod it, it would alwyas come corrupted, after 4 tries I droped, and will not bother again.
    FOR HONOR, FOR FREEDOM.... and for some money.

    LMAO thanks for my morning laugh - cash shop in a beta LMAO

    Knowing everything is always wiped at the end of Beta's and you spent money for nothing.

     

    Yes i agree with DMKano  i played steampunk style games before like "Fallen Earth" not really steampunk but post nuclear futuristic style...guess just have to see....not getting any expectations up or followed it very well like i did other games, that way i can be surprised if it turns out to be not so bad!

    I played it a couple of months ago and I did not like very much. Maybe you guys will, but it will be a game I probably will never play again. Seemed more fantasy than steampunk, all the classes are fantasy ones, I wanted some gun classes or one with turrets.

    The game doesnt even have an actual  cash shop. Just the pay to unlock rare drops system.

    @Strawhat - There is a gunslinger class. May just not be implemented quite yet. I assume so since the pic of it is blacked out on the site.

    Yea, I was pretty underwealmed by the whole Black Gold Online experience.  Although the graphics are very nice, I find:

    • The models entirely too amateurish and cartoony,
    • Jumping and navigating was tedious and hokey.
    • Worst of all was the scaling of health/damage/etc... Health in the thousands for a lv 8 character is (IMHO) ludicrous
    I wish the developers well, but this game isn't for me.
