Confused about megaservers. Can other players see my characters?

I'm confused about the division between NA megaserver and the EU megaserver in ESO.  Can my friend on EU server see only the characters that I have on EU server or can he see the characters I have on the NA server also.  I'm not sure I like it if other players can see who all your alts are.

    I don't think they see your alts, but they see your sign on name, so if you are @winston, then that's all they see, doesn't matter what character you are on, that's all they see.   At least as far as I can tell.

    The Two servers are separate and he can't see what is on the NA server from the EU one. 

     

    More and more MMO's are going account based rather then the older Character based systems, welcome to ESO facebook.

    Thank you... I think it's good that I can play on either megaserver US  or  EU  with the same account but at the same time, I would like to keep alts anonymous.

    NA and EU are separate, but you cannot keeps alts anonymous. If you are in the same guild all your alts will show up with your account name. This is the way MMOs are going, I don't agree with it, but it was the same in GW2. (I think your acct name even shows in Group there?) By next year I doubt any mainstream MMO will release without this feature. Same for phasing and megaservers.
