I dunno, I am soon to be 48 and I like the music fine. Some zones better than others of course, but it's a decent soundtrack.

cool story bro
..who even listens to mmo music anyway ? I mean if you play a game for hours, you hear the same songs over and over, no matter how good or shitty they are, it WILL get annoying.
pro tip: you can turn it off in options, crazy right ?
well I think Swtor needs a lot more additional cantina music, MMO music gets old fast if it repeats over and over and over again, won't be different for Childstar
Alot of people listen to the music in mmo's.. the music in EQ is amazing..
P.S. looking for a guest pass
Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV

If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.
Same. I m playing always with my music
All Time Favorites: EQ1, WoW, EvE, GW1
Playing Now: WoW, ESO, GW2
I like music that plays for a bit, then fades out, and I like combat music. Most MMOs don't do this. In ESO, the music was just too dramatic constantly, I had to get rid of it. It wasn't bad music, it just didn't fit sitting around or fedexing.
Same here,Eldan facilities music is my favorite . Always playing games with their original music and while Wildstar music is not the best one I found in a mmo , it has a few tunes I enjoy.
I don't even remember what it sound like. I disabled it after 15 minutes or so.
But to be fair, from all the things I could dislike in a game, music is always the first I remove.
Love the music, I think there is no accounting for taste, but this is the first game that had a sound track that was by an 81 piece orchestra. I think that speaks volumes for the level of quality. It has such an atmosphere and a level of immersion that honestly I've not experienced in a game in a long long time.
Such an amazing sound track, and the sound director is also excellent, perfect music for the area you are in.
I honestly can't believe people don't like this...
Guess it's true that the reason we don't have any good music anymore is that pop culture killed it.

That's what I miss about SWG. I miss the actual John Williams music score change and ramp up during combat. I would almost go into some kind of combat trance during PVP when that music kicked in and I had various substances in my system Of course I'm a Star Wars nut so that's why. SWTOR, ehh not so much. I also liked WoW's soundtrack and ambient sounds back in Vanilla. However, I think Wildstar is lacking in their music and ambient sounds.

I usually turn off the music in almost every MMORPG I played. This was far from the case with Wildstar. Some songs can be slightly annoying but only in areas you don't stay in for long.
But to each his/her own. Some will enjoy or. Some won't. All in all just opinion.
Agree completely about the SWG music and its affect on gameplay/mood....but meh dont let me go on /rant about how amazing SWG was / is (EMU rocks)....
I have to disagree about the music in WS though, I find it almost exclusively superb, I even love the music at the login screen.
The one caveat to that is a zone called Ellvaria or something like that, there is a slow violin piece playing continually around that zone and it makes me want to peel my face off!!
To each his own I guess because I enjoy the music. I think it fits nicely with the theme of the game. I'm one of those guys that likes MMO music though.
One of the standouts for me is GW2. That sound track is amazing.
I think the music is great. Unfortunately it is too bombastic, repetitive and has too many crescendos to be nice questing music. It is possible to like the music but not like it for an MMO. Questing music repeats so it needs to be subtle.
