In a new announcement on the EverQuest II forums, it has been announced that SOE will be parting ways with ProSiebenSat.1. The announcement on or about July 1st player accounts will be transfered to SOE when their hosting will cease. New players can now begin to register with SOE.
Your payment details and personal information will not be transferred. When a transfer is initiated, only the ProSiebenSat.1 Games account name, character information, Seven Cash balance, and other game-related data will be provided from PSG to SOE, exclusively for migration purposes. You will need to have an existing SOE Station Account or create a new SOE account, subject to SOE’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, in order to continue playing the games through SOE’s service. You will also be required to enter your payment details if you wish to make purchases through your SOE account.
After migration, EU players with existing memberships will be automatically upgraded to SOE All Access Memberships. All EU residents will have the opportunity to purchase All Access memberships at the same rate as the old, single-game memberships, and enjoy all SOE games as well as a monthly 500 Station Cash claim, marketplace discounts and many promotions.
In even more exciting news, SOE Player Studio (EQII, EQ, PS2) is also expanding its scope to include submissions from EU countries, starting with Germany, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the UK. Testing of the new tax registration process is already well underway!
Lastly, we want to thank you all for your dedication to the games, your support and invaluable feedback. Please keep it coming so we can make this the best possible experience for you now and in the future.

What does that mean? Doesn't anyone proofread this rubbish?
+1
Now I might reconsider returning to some of the $O€ games I used to play...
This is one, if not THE, greatest thing to happen in gaming this year. Hell, the best thing since Everquest 1.
FINALLY i can give my money to the people that deserve it. Yes.
MMOs finally replaced social interaction, forced grouping and standing in a line while talking to eachother.
Now we have forced soloing, forced questing and everyone is the hero, without ever having to talk to anyone else. The evolution of multiplayer is here! We won,... right?
Heaven forbid we make any kind of writing mistake. We, after all, are god's perfect forum readers!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Don't get me wrong, I know it's maybe not the best news to some, I wish everything good and joyful to P7S1, etc, but...
YES! Finally... Hello, All Access
The only question left is how will they handle the transfer. When SOE threw us over here under P7S1, the account was splitted since P7S1 don't handle all the SOE titles (meaning I have the same account name on both sides). I hope SOE will be able to merge those two and not simply say "We're sorry, that name is taken, pick an another one for your account with DCUO and PS2"
Also hope they will fire the idiot who decided the whole P7S1 partnership in the first place
ABSOLUTELY EFFING YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST NEWS OF THE YEAR!!!!!
Finally I can start playing DCUO again! :-)
Just take your local trash TV provider (Pro7 and Sat 1 for germany),.. then think about what would happen if THEY are responsible for your MMO. Payment, support...patching,...
I am sure you can guess how well that went. They have zero experience and don't do anything if it does not pay off instantly. You want to call them? Sure, 2 bucks per minute while waiting in the support line.

Pro7 often advertised on TV: "Try Everquest 2 now and start out as a max level character with heroic gear."
I have been wanting to try EQ2 for a while now but I learned my lesson to stay away from Pro7 and Burda.
Now that they are gone I may give this game a late try and see what all the hype is about.
I agree. Now i don't need to make two separate accounts for EQ2 and DCUO. I really wanted to take advantage of all access pass.

I fought tooth and nail to keep my old SOE account (started in 2003) active when they did the ProSiebenSat deal. Managed to hang onto it for Planetside 2, but couldn't get a Station Pass as a euro player, so the other games were not accessible.
Delighted to hear this news !
This is awesome news. I hope SOE aint planning on switching to another EU company. I hope they remain as SOE from now on!
Now we just need some challenge back into the games.
Actually, if we can get a EQ1 server without mercenaries being available, we can once again form groups with each class and not rely on overpowered computer controlled mobs that doesn't make misstakes.
For EQ2, there is a lot more to be done. The whole game is easy mode for a solo player. Except at raid level and heroics. I fear that it has passed the point of even using a defibrillator.
Is your lack of comprehension that bad that you couldnt tell it was meant to say ProSiebenSat1? Or you didnt read the whole thing. If you didnt, why are your commenting on something you dont know about.
In the light of Everquest Next you would have to make a Pro7 Account. It was even in debate for Landmark, but Sony said fuck it and just opened up for EU. Also i belive some of their other games did not allow for a new registration, even with an existing Sony account, if you where from the EU.
Either way, gotta say it again: GREAT NEWS!

Yep, it has nothing to do with luck, probably you didn't play DCUO at the time of the split, I think that was the first game they handed over to P7S1.
And as Rattenmann wrote, later you could only register for Eu PS2 when PS2 launched (you could register in the US through a VPN but it was a pain in the rear to manage with the game client).
The best part of this change is that we'll be able to join All Access too. Vanguard is gone, but I'll still have DCUO, PS2 and Landmark, for the price of one
Funny! SOE forced me - as they were closing my DCUO account - to go to Pro7Sat about 1-2 months ago...
Now it's back with SOE?
Well, it turned out I worried for a reason... :I
From the transfer FAQ (dunno when it was updated, a few days ago it wasn't in there)
"I already have an SOE membership for some games, and want to know if I can combine my PSG account with my existing SOE account.
We are sorry, but we are not able to combine accounts at this time. You may continue to maintain them as separate accounts."
So basically I had a SOE account a few years ago, they've splitted DCUO off from it and handed it over to P7S1, and now after the transfer back to SOE I'll have my original SOE account, and a new, separate one for DCUO and PS2. With the same user and account data. Thanks Sony, you're so great... not.
Yep, I hope that now even more than before... The whole point (All Access) is gone down into the gutter with this FAQ update...
