So I have given this game a try and once I was into level 11 I encountered a major bug with the game where when I accepted a quest within the village of the race I was playing I got teleported into an empty zone where I could not move and could not get out. Multiple relogs, a bug report and multiple attempts at contacting in game gm's resulted in nothing. I finally spoke with a gm today after being trapped in this zone for 12 hours now and the response was very disheartening to say the least.
Indicated that it was a known issue and what they do to attempt to fix it is completed the quest I was on and then have me relog. Did not resolve the situation. Now at this point I am very frustrated and the fact that everyone once and a while when I said I am still trapped the response from the gm was "lol". No he said he would not be able to help me if I did not show him and his team some respect at which point I was about to show them what it means to be disrespected. I then indicated that his lol laughing was not appreciated and told me that it did not mean he was laugh but it meant sorry. Now I am not sure what potential bullshit that is, but has anyone every heard of lol equating to sorry?
As such if they are at the point of open beta release this game should not have a game play breaking known issue like this that prevents players from playing the game. Additionally the gm chat system is flakey as well and they will get randomly disconnected from the conversation requiring you to request the gm help again and get back in line until one is available. They do not try and contact you again to continue the conversation should it get disconnected, they just move on to the next ticket. Not sure if their system allows them to return to a ticket that go dropped midpoint.
Overall the game is very beautiful visually, game play mechanics are nothing spectacular but I am only at level 11, in game support laughable, not all system function and/or implemented at this time. Not even sure if it worth my or anyone else's time to play, but may try again later in a few days and see if I get move back into the actual game. As of now I have a fairly poor view of the game based on this experience. Also anyone to see gold spammers in the global channels already as well.
I haven't tried the game and I understand it is open beta but...
1. what part about beta do you not understand? Now is the time for bugs, as long as it is fixed by the time they go live then no big deal
2. since I didn't see how your conversations went with the GMs just by you putting down they asked you to show some respect kinda tells me you where being the bellegerent one.
Look it is still beta, you said they tried a quick fix that didn't work and this was a known issue, so most likely it is on the list to fix after beta ends (or at least when the majority of them return from the weekend).
If the GMs caused you problems without being provoked then I hope you took screenshots of the conversations and sent them in via support and whatever other emails they have.
But, constently bothering them about a known issue after they tried the possible fix they where given (you do understand that the GMs are most likely NOT programmers/developers just customer service reps) during a weekend is harrassment from you side.
It's beta, start a new character, go outside for a walk, play something else, being it is beta then most likely anything you do will be wiped before they go live so don;t get so upset over it.
First off I understand that it is open beta and they are trying to eliminate any last minute bugs that may exist in a game. But here is the thing with open beta, open beta is near full release. The reason for open beta is to entice players and resolve any last minute bugs, typos, or minor game play issues. Not have a known issue that literally prevents you from playing the game and issues with the customer support level tools in which it drops the connection with the player(s) experience issues and forcing them back into the queue to continue to try and resolve the issue and ask any question as to what can or cannot be done to resolve the issue.
As for me being belligerent, I was far from that though I am pretty sure the customer support agent could sense some of my frustration and the tone of what I was typing. I do not deny that, but when the gm keeps typing lol from time to time and I have only seen that as an acronym for Laughing Out Loud, you may get a little upset with what seems to be a very unprofessional manner that the customer support agent is conducting themselves in.
Lastly if this was closed beta or alpha then I could understand issues like this occurring. But this is open beta and near final release candidate for this game, with plenty of polish already in place. From what I am seeing though is that this open beta may last up to 14 days based on the gift packs having items that are 14 day timer mounts and carriers (I think carriers). At which point the game would normal have a player wipe across all servers then the game goes either into launch or a head start for those that paid for this game's collector pack. None the less, I felt the overall handling of the situation by customer support was unprofessional and it did upset me to some degree. The game looks promising, but to have known issues with the game and in game support tools for the gm's this close to final release is ridiculous in my opinion.
the game is ok..not horrible but also does not grab me enuff to only play this title and nuttin else..they take alot of lil things from other mmorpgs ..will prolly get better once the servers are more stable after a few weeks but it will be interesting what the shop will be like..+ im loving how the dwarfs are looking
I think I read somewhere that loot drops and you can see it, but you have to pay real money to actually loot it? If that is a thing in this game then that's more than enough to turn me away, I don't need any more information.

i dunno i played to almost lvl 20 and i got gear n stuff...even some rares...so i dont know about that..im also hearing this
I feel like they clearly don't know the na market at all.
There is all this garbage on my screen: prizes for logging in every day, prizes for logging in for 30 consecutive days, prizes for logging in for an hour, prizes for logging for two hours, prizes for logging in between certain hours... none of which feel like actual prizes...
All these various gimmicks are what garbage browser games use, no serious mmo does this kind of thing in the West. These stupid "prizes" don't encourage me to play more, they encourage me go back to the game I was playing before.
During the cbt there was a noticeable lag between input and action when it came to using abilities and basic attacks, is this still the case or has that been ironed out? Other than that the game worked fine for me, no catastrophic bugs like on of the previous posters mentioned, though I only got to about level 13 before my annoyance with the lag caused me to stop playing it and wait for a more polished version.

I stopped trying the game because where I live I have heavy ping but... you know you can make a new character to lvl 11 in less than 1 hour in the 12 hours you said you were waiting you could lvl 12 characters to 11 or more so why not make a new character anyway is just beta. Just saying.
P.S: Beta is to find and report bugs you lose all characters. My 2 cents.
Yeah I understand that I can get back to level 11 with another character within an hour, but I have another issue which has locked the account preventing me from doing certain crafting things and have no desire to go through all this again. Was just looking to raise one character and that was it within their open beta. Just a little off put by such a major known issue still standing in the game this close to release. But the issue with the customer support tools is another issue altogether as well, and that one is more disturbing that then one where the character I created is basically locked out of the game.
Hopefully they will have this fixed at launch, because even if it is a very small segment of players that may encounter this that is still too much. Additionally they need to resolve the issue with the customer service tools as well because that will create frustration with the player base and a good chance that is could lead to resentment and players leaving.
On another note, for those that have played does the game remind you a bit of the Avatar movie if you play the not steam tech races? It sure seems like they took a bit of inspiration in their art design from that movie in my opinion.

No, that's not how it works in this version, at least not anymore. Check this link for more info if you're on the fence. http://bg.snailgame.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1324&hilit=costs
bestever, I understand that, I just wish they would say how much these things will cost in order to get an idea if this will work for me or not.
I have tried the game and it is ok, yes the screen at this time is very busy with stuff, hope that changes by release.
P.S: Beta is to find and report bugs you lose all characters. My 2 cents.

Beta is beta, what part of that do you not understand?
Just because it's open doesn't mean it's close to release.
Please do not hype any gam.. oh wait, nevermind... forgot what forum I was on.
