And this site adds publicity to yet another internet nobody, furthering his cause and doing exactly what he wants. All this does is breed another generation of web-terrorist who punish users and not the people who should be targeted.
At the end of the day its illegal action in most countries and should be handled by legal experts, and I hope he gets prosecuted. No charity would condone this sort of behavior, and this site should not publicize illegal activity that is hardly newsworthy as nobody here can do anything about it and it "may" just give one more person an incentive to try similar.
I would say it is newsworthy; but posting the perpetrators name and a link to his Twitter account, thus further publicising the individual, and detailing his rather ambiguous motives, which also brings an (I assume) entirely innocent charity into disrepute is not the best way to handle the story.
Two points: This guy needs to be in prison and I hope people realize this charity doesn't support this guy. He's not doing this for charity, he's doing this for attention and hiding behind a charitable cause.
Hope he gets locked up and they throw away the key.

Meh I am ok with this, I think game companies need some blow back for the poor quality of their service and or products.
Dont treat us well then we bring down your servers, its called an incentive or in legal terms deterrent sentencing. Sucks to impact all those innocent users, but hey bad companies need to be put in their place.

In your definition what makes a game company that provides entertainment and joy for hundreds of thousands of people "bad" and "need to be put in their place"?
I'm genuinely curious how you measure which companies "deserve" unwarranted attacks.

I disagree this post glorify's his actions overall, as I was oblivious to it happening (though I would be when I tried to d/l glyph tonight) and glad I saw this to know it was happening. While we hope for this person gets some type of punishment...is anyone else a bit scared that he / a small group were able to take down so much, so effectively?
I mean to have this many companies entire infrastructures being susceptible to DDOS so easily and down so long is a darn shame. When will game servers stop being so terrible in general? it seems to never end (poor releases, poor high time performance, DDOS / exploit weakness, etc).
I can see this happening to SOE, maybe Trion, but NC Soft too? Not surprised but not happy to see several big mmo companies not giving a crap about server quality

Server quality has nothing to do with these attacks. Look up DDoS attacks, pretty much any website or game will be susceptible to something like that, with a few outlying ones of course.

I wonder if he also attacked PSO2 JP 2-3 weeks ago ? All that has done is prevent a lot of Western users from login on the game. Also it can take up to about 30 days for the users ISP to then be able to connect to the games new address. Also Sega has sorted out a couple of errors that came from the attack but stopped after sorting out Japan. So well done whoever did it ( sarcasm ). Some people thought it might have been Chinese RMT users as they were IP banned a while ago or the SEA users as they were IP blocked the day PSO2 SEA came out , they weren't happy as using a VPN ( when your internet connection is slow ) just logs you out after 10-15 mins.
Way to go , wannabe hackers , some people are very dumb it seems.
