Two weeks ago, the Elder Scrolls Online team presented its series of plans for the future of the game. Among these were guild features, PvP changes, new features, and a series of tweaks to make playing together and teaming up easier. With the release this week of update 1.3.3, some of these changes have begun to go into effect, along with a series of other changes. Several of the major changes do stand out, and don't lack for controversy, but it might be some of the listed minor changes that could be the beginning of a game changer for some players.

Still no news about F2P ?

With the amount of subs that was released a few weeks ago. I just don't see this game losing the p2p model anytime soon. Keep waiting though you got AA to play in the meantime.
What was the official number released from ZOS again? I can't remember.

My Review Manifesto

They have never released numbers and likely never will since they do not have to like many others do. I think he is talking about the estimate that was floating around. I can't recall the number as I didn't give it much stock.
True they haven't released any numbers, there isn't any official word on even the overall box sales to date, only 'guesstimates' from various sources, no MMO developer actually has to release numbers, its just something that is often done for marketing purposes.
I'd much prefer a running price based upon guild size or overall guild wealth (taken by accounts of the items in the guild bank to be sold).
Not sure why Zenimax thought it'd be a good idea to go with a bidding system.
TESO goes to F2P when release console version of the game.
True Story.

reported!
800,000 subs was the number. Here's the link.
Could you please explain your thinking on the remark highlighted in red. I am curious to understand how in any way you think the release of this game on the next gen consoles could have an adverse affect on the consoles?
No signature, I don't have a pen
I really never understood the design choice to make multiple guilds a real thing. The point (to me at least) was to find A GUILD that fits what you are looking to do and build a relationship with that guild (crafters, raiders, casual, etc).
Also not having an open market for everybody to use seems like it forces players to participate in this multiguild feature even more.
To me the traditional guild AH function in most MMOs did not feel broken, so why try and fix/reinvent it?

AA is already getting trashed here, when 2 years ago it was all the rage...wait till AA comes...it will kill <insert game name here>....and throw Wildstar into that as well. Its a never ending cycle that needs to end.
Sadly the AH set-up helps the game. no cornering of Markets , and real in game trading adds a lot to the game play options. One of the features that ruins MMOs, now if only they could remove a few more auto features so people have to play the full game....

I like the game, but this patch was average at best. Nothing to pull people back really.
I just unsubbed for the first time since release. I got to Vet6 and nothing was holding my interest. Nobody runs Vet Dungeons which was the best thing about the game IMO. Craglorn was a disappointment to me as well, all I could ever find a group for was "Burial Grinding" which consisted to going back and forth between two world bosses. Not Zenimax's fault though.
PvP in Cyrodil has potential to be awesome, but for some reason falls short. I think because it is mostly Zerg battles and a good matchup is hard to come by. It's always one sided depending on numbers. Not enough objectives that can be taken by smaller groups.
Overall no gameplay or game-mode features were added but I will re-sub upon the Justice System or Imperial City update, whichever lands first.
Looking forward to: Crowfall / Lost Ark / Black Desert Mobile
I hope this does not go f2p... cannot even voice how irritated I am with f2p whiners wanting every game to go F2P because they simply are too cheap to pay up when everyone else has already... fuck you and your free to play.
Somebody, somewhere has better skills as you have, more experience as you have, is smarter than you, has more friends as you do and can stay online longer. Just pray he's not out to get you.
+1
Your assumption that people who want and play F2P games because they are cheap is as far off as it can get. F2P opens up games on many different levels. I've probably dropped $200 on PlanetSide2 since it's release with station cash purchases, but have spent next to nothing on other games. So people are willing to support a game they find fun and worth spending the money on F2P or not.
Sub fees are an old business practice. There is a reason there are so many F2P games on the market compared to subs. It gives players the option to "play their way" if the system is done correctly.
