With all the QQ beta vets and most of the newbies, this game is starting to suck. You vets QQ that the games changed and spoiled brat newbies complaining they have to get a basic frame to max before they can get an advanced frame. Or why can't they get a bike at lvl 1. MMo's are just filled with asshats now. What the heck happened to mmo's. The only way to play this game now is solo. Get into a high lvl squad now and you will find some low lvl leecher in it taking xp and loot they can't even use only because they are friends with squad leader. All they freaking do is die and get revived by their friend and take loot. Thank god its f2p because i wouldn't pay monthly for this.

It sold out and after many years the mmo has defined itself into a genre that has become a standardization. It's easier to make a generic mmo layout with todays development tools already in place vs a true AAA mmo that actually has to invest more. The money comes in quick but also the lack of deep content disappears and becomes a sport. Also, it makes it easier to train interns who're working for free or a work study.
I haven't found the community bad at all. As a matter of fact, it's one of the best communities in recent memory. Like 90% of the in-game chat is people genuinely helping out other people - whether with answering questions or to do stuff.
There are (quite a few) obvious issues with the game, but them community is great. If anything, the community is one of the things that makes those things easier to tolerate.

I disagree. I think the community is the only thing left keeping this game's hopes alive.
Both "Sides" have caring, creative, and subsequently very passionate people among them. They've just forgotten the golden rule. And so has Red5. So they've decided to lock themselves in their own respective echo-chambers just like the Congress of this nation. All of these seemingly vast differences could easily be reconciled but no one seems willing to listen to anyone else. This is usually where the Adults in the room are the ones who enforce some kind of mending process. But unfortunately in this instance, it doesn't look like any of the mature people were the ones given power to do that. (in the past it usually fell on Phobos' broad shoulders but he's been uncharacteristically silent lately).
A developer changed their game's entire philosophy towards the opposite end of the design spectrum in a single patch and without consulting the community and you wonder why vets are angry?
Really?
With a post like this ...how could you ever contribute in a positive way to a games community. You sound exactly like the type of person that needs to leave a game before a real community can develop.
Nothing wrong with the community, if R5 has lost it's way.
Got a problem with us, buddy? Take a hike!
There's only 2 mmo's post 2004 that have decent communities GW2 and FFXIV.
