The one thing i noticed during open beta....

....was that a large amount of people seem to be running multiple accounts, i saw more than a dozen groups of characters running after one 'main', from story quest to story quest mimicking the mains 'actions'. One of the groups was massive btw, like 30+ chars all called alyxxxx, alyzzzz etc....

 

All mmo's have bots & some people like to 'box', i'm simply wondering what they are gaining over just having one account, is it to farm gilda stars so they can buy plans to mail to there main ? is it to simply grind out money ? crafting mats ? Do you think this will affect the economy greatly in terms of AH prices ?

    Surprised it took them that long....Hope they just go through and just nuke people with names like Johnny1000, Johnny1001 and stuff like that. That and people named "zdiklhj" and other 'facebash' names.

    Gold farmers in a beta that ends today ?

    U can "report" them but i think that costs Labour Points :P

    To get gilda stars they need to go to the other continent just shoot the crap out of them :P

    Don't know much about ArcheAge but I personally LOVE any MMO that has GoldSellers and PVP. It gives me the chance to release my frustration at the assholes. (Hoping it works out this way.)

    I have the greatest memories of messing with RMT in Lineage2 and even FFXI (stealing NMs and mass PK before they allowed mobs to despawn.), so if ArcheAge allows me to do the same then I think I'm going to get a long just fine with this game.

    Under what rock do you live? Its a multibox, someone probably testing it for when the game starts. Multiboxing is not illegal in anyway. I've done it, lots of ppl do it, its fun! And i am no gold farmer.

    I would guess running multiple accounts for extra LP, but it could also be for anything.  With PvP being a significant part of AA I would assume that heal/buff/debuff bots would be a common thing.

    Correct answer.  When I logged in the Chat was filled with spammers, I remember one in particular who's name was the website info, complete with "com" at the end of the name.

    This was most likely ppl using the OBT to time and test for the land rush on release. Guilds making alts and timing how fast they can get 15/30 gilda stars to land grab at a specific location for the guild. We did it several times over the last few days.
