Since WildStar’s launch in early June, Carbine Studios has been focusing heavily on quality of life updates and bug fixes. As a result, Drop 3 looks like the biggest update yet, with a number of changes in the works. But what happens when it’s time to start on shiny new stuff? Columnist Gareth Harmer details what he’d like to see arrive on Nexus.

no pets.
my issue with guild housing is players would spend less time in major cities= less socializing, thats a problem.
you can have a guild housing if the leader makes his house public to guildies imo.
we do need better dynamic events. much like defiances and gw2...add some rare bounty hunting too!
bottom line would love to see an official hardcover wildstar art book with soundtrack.
I do, however, really really want a mobile app (the irony now is palpable) that would let me read the lore I've uncovered. There was a long post on this at the Carbine forums.
Ok Sena changed my mind a pet with a buff like housings would be cool!
also an app with lore I've collected to read would be ideal!
What they should really add is a free trial, something like WoW has, where you can run around and get a feel for the game and some of its systems.
It worked on me anyway... I was just playing around but got attached to my characters and is now (yet again) subscibing to all mighty WoW.
Unfortunately Carbine isn't able to add half of what is on the list to the game.
At least not in a timely manner or without introducing a ton of bugs.
Also, any recent news on Wildstar only got a handful of comments and the official forums got very quiet as well. It's like no one cares anymore.
Bingo.
1. engine optimization
2. better art style
3. removal of carbine's derp humor
4. game design + polish
5. fun
You did play to max level right? It's terrible lol
1. engine works fine if not good for most people these days.. i never had fps issues from the start but most people i know dont suffer like they did before
2. art style is fine for what the game is meant to be, you dont like it move on.
3. humor a long side the art style is where it's meant to be and has no reason to leave, again.. dont like it move on.
4. game is very well polished compared to some other games that have released in recent years.
5. still fun for plenty of people, your opinion is just that.
F2P wont fix the other issues. and if im dont wanna play aa game that needs a sub im not gonna be any more likely to want to play it when it is F2P,
F2P may be the way of the future, but ya know they dont make them like they used to
Proper Grammer & spelling are extra, corrections will be LOL at.
Nothing from list bothers me, my list include only:
But even with 1.) I would gladly return, but under no circumstances before that happen. Same for TSW.
1.Considering how melee are at a bigger disadvantage to range since telegraphs are larger for range and longer, that there needs to be some kind of balance considered.
2. also since melee must be very close for dmg to register they can add a tab system for one target. That way if you are tabbed to one target and "locked then you can only do attacks if they land. It's hard enough to chase, be in range and dodge and do less dmg than ranged dd.
3. Remove healers. I'm always dealing with an imbalance that ruins Pvp simply to healing. If it doesn't cause imbalance it makes Pvp boring and simply a stand off of doing damage rotations.
4. Add bounty system and fun ways to spend game currency. Hire npcs and create a more open world system
5 create an open world Pvp and dynamic event pve system for end game.
Write bad things that are done to you in sand, but write the good things that happen to you on a piece of marble
Realistic short term things they should add: -
Funny you'd mention gliders, as I was thinking the same thing the other day after watching a live stream of ArcheAge.
As fa as the pets are concerned, I'd wish more MMOs would follow BioWare/Cryptic's approach with SWTOR/Neverwinter and offer both pets and companions. I love having companions to level and gear up and fight along side you!
Have the pets as more of a cosmetic thing in addition to adding companions. Companions are far more valuable IMHO.
Love having companions in those two previously mentioned MMOs.
Finally, I agree with the mobile thing as well as I already have 3-4 different WildStar apps that all do different things and it would be nice if there was an app that brought those things together on top of the housing thing you mentioned.
If no one cares anymore means no more whiners/noobs/casuals/haters and retards, I am absolutely fine with it in the matter of fact if not all of us then most of us prefer a small clean community than a large trash one.
Irony.
Particularly given that the only thing that Wildstar NEEDS to add is more players.
A smaller community is, however, nice for the current players... to a point. Getting through the PVE content with a small group of friends, without having to compete for resources during a challenge is convenient. Further, since Carbine rid servers of bots, collecting crafting mats is a breeze. Now larger group content sucks without a bigger community, but so far the tight community that exists seems to have ban'd together quite nicely.
So, it's a nice, small, tight-knit, in-game community now.
Really? What matters to them (and particularly NCSoft) is money to pay the bills.
This is pure short-termism, your small community will not pay for an expansion (hell, it may not even pay for the survival of the game).
Sometimes you just gotta accept the good with the bad.
Yes because NCSOFT is famous for supporting niche MMOS right? like Tabula Rasa? City Of Heroes? Auto Assault? i heard they don't care much for profit and are all about small 'hardcore' qualified communities. You got that right.
*rolls eyes*
If you want to run a small niche community MMO, Ncsoft should be on bottom of your list as a publisher and investor.
