Final Fantasy Type-0 HD: Headed for Release on March 17th in North America

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Type-0 will be released on March 17, 2015 for North America, March 19, 2015 for Japan and March 20, 2015 for Europe. Included in the $59.99 price will be a demo from the anticipated Final Fantasy XV. Final Fantasy Type-0 will be available on both the PlayStation 4 and XBox One.

Step into the fray as Class Zero, a group of fourteen students from an elite military academy whose country is attacked by an aggressive neighboring Empire. Using the powerful abilities and magic of all fourteen characters in fast-paced action RPG combat, players must face the brutality and injustices of war to uncover the secrets of its genesis.

    Hai Yah ! If only this type of games were WASD my movements would be so much better.  I am horrible with controllers.

    No thanks. You wouldn't localize it for west after the JPN release. Wouldn't give an answer when people asked if it was ever coming to west. Already got to play it in fully translated to English thanks to a few people being creative and dedicated.

    59.99 lol. You can sit on it and rotate S-E. Next time when your fans ask for something. Respond with something other then silence.

    since FFX i dont even consider these game true Final Fantasy games They've gone to far toward the real time twitchy games that have ruined what alot of us loved about old school rpg's

    Arskaa the only thing FF about these new titles is the name FF.

    Since this originally launched on the PSP.  I thought it would of released on the Vita as well.  Guess Sony is going to keep neglecting the Vita.  No surprise there.

    Lots of hate going on in this comments section, by a lot of people who didn't even bother to read about the game or watch the video.

    Pretty standard MMORPG comments.  (you guys disappoint me daily)

    Dude, this is what FF8 should have been. Only thing that would make this game perfect is a gunblade user!

    You realize they remade the whole games graphics for PS4 and XB1?  And added new content as well

    Now that so many FF games are arriving on Steam.  I'm hoping we see this one as well.  I'll gladly pick it up.  I've wanted to play it since they announced it like 10 years ago.

    I have no hate for this game.  It's being released on consoles only from what I've read.  And hey, let's be honest, do we really want another port to PC anyway?

     

    I totally get that they want to report on RPGs as well as MMOs.  I really do.  But I wish they used a separate site for console-only news.  Or at the very least, label it as such in some way in the title.  I could live with just that.

     

    As always, however, best of luck to those excited about this release and I hope it lives up to your expectations.

    I have no hate for this game.  It's being released on consoles only from what I've read.  And hey, let's be honest, do we really want another port to PC anyway?

    I can see your point.  Believe me.  But, this is hardly the first console only game this site has reported on.  Also, with all the Final fantasy games that have been ported recently to Steam.  I imagine there is a good chance we'll see this one on PC as well.  Also, I don't mind console ports to PC.  As long as there not as bad as GTA 4 for example.

    Square pretty died when Hironobu Sakaguchi stepped down as executive vice president in 2003. He created the series and was always in the foreground of many of there most popular and well known games. If he was still on board I believe we'd have a real FF MMO and not just game that tries to copy the spirit series while lacking it's innovation.
