The Raid Release Schedule is as follows: - Raids will not open for about two and a half weeks - Normal and Heroic High Maul after two and a half weeks - 2nd December 2014 in the US, 3rd in the EU - Mythic and LFR High Maul a week later - 9th December 2014 in the US, 10th in the EU - Several weeks later the second raid will open

Sorry, yes, I know about that, but I was talking about the spending. They actually have more staff now than ever, apparently.
As far as the raid release schedule. Sorry, is this different than normal? There's still gear grinds, etc., etc. I don't think this is any different than MoP. They had a specific raid schedule. IMO, if people actually read the quests then you'd probably take that long to get through the content anyway.

MoP had a similar raiding schedule, yep. The game is a gear grind, except most people can't complete the gear grind fully because the content is too difficult. And yeah, if I read the quest text in WoW I'd have a lot less time spent playing/learning/chatting lol.
When all is said and done, more is always said than done.
Like I said, mass creating dungeons doesn't do anything lol. WoD is adding a huge amount of content, the pre-downloed patch for 6.0 was something like 23gb on beta before they condense the size, ect. That's probably bigger than any game you have on your PC, just for an expansion.
The reason WoW went into decline in Cataclysm had a lot to do with the lack of endgame content which includes dungeons. For the bulk of a year there were only two almost identical dungeons that rewarded valor, and it was during that time that most players quit and never came back. Dungeons are the #1 content all players use on all characters, consistently throughout the game. This is basic shit right here. Look at TBC.
The reason they aren't making any fucking dungeons goes hand in hand with everything else about this expansion. They do not believe many people are going to either buy it, or stick with it, to justify resources spent on things like dungeons. Anniversary got made because it isn't selling subscriptions but units. Blizzard may not think there is anything left in the MMORPG market at this point, they have stopped trying to do anything else with it.

(Not checked the thread for a few days.)
However: a source about the spending? I didn't directly refer to "spending" in my comment.
Are you suggesting that Blizzard have been
"using subscribers money to fund WoD" and that makes it OK for them not to release new content for the last 14 months?
And that the result of their subscription monies will be ... the opportunity to pay exactly the same as someone who hasn't been a subscriber?
(I know how funding works in a company. My contention with subscriptions today is that there is no link between the sub and what people get for the sub. So they are seen as very poor value. And Blizzard, in the last 14 months, have underscored this.)
It was a big download because they update the format of their files from mpq to casc. Can't find the exact info but it's on the WoW site somewhere in one of the announcements. Plus their spreading out the release of the raids for subs obviously but so people don't complete everything on day 1. Dungeons are fairly much irrelevant except for leveling and pve hear and achievements so the amount is fine.

Agreed on the value part. Gawd, I really screwed this post up I'll just come right out and say it. You had mentioned previously that they are basically cutting jobs, cutting funding, etc., etc., when they've actually got the largest staff on the project in history. Also, they're already starting development on the next expansion.
I'm the first to say that they need to be more agile with their content updates. They're still very old school about this, but even worse than what it used to be in "old school" I'd say. So weird. They've gotta break out and actually have regular content releases. Shoot, I'll even pay for an expansion every year if they can make it happen. 2 years between expansions might as well be a decade, though.

I've no recollection of saying anything about cutting jobs/funding. In the TESO forum a few months back but no recollection of saying anything like that in the WoW forum. If I have somehow suggested anything on those lines apologies.
Not surprised that they are already working on the expansion after WoW eithr. As I have in response to some complaints about "Destiny DLC" - unfinished! - being on the discs decent content takes time. (Some people obviously wanted bigger downloads).
