I am really fed up with people telling others to not even try ArcheAge. This is more than some people being disappointed with some aspect of the game or anything like that. It is like a sick crusade against AA going on.

 

So, my suggestion to people who have not tried it is that download it and play it and make up your own mind. After all, it is free to play. So, you will not lose anything by trying. Don't let anyone tell you whether you will like this game or not. See it for yourself.

    For a game that is free to play is such a advice "do not even try" very surprisingly.

    As if they are afraid that the game is very  likable the moment you have contact with it and all people will stay forever with it.

    I swear these kinda posts are just as bad as the hater posts... All you are going to do is start another flame war lol

     

    The only thing i lost while trying AA was my time, SSD space, and bandwidth to download it. To ME the grafx were very bad... some textures they tried way to hard to make look "real" and others felt like no time was spent on it what so ever. The movement felt wrong as well for some reason..

     

    The game is free yes, so if you have time to waste give it a try. Personally i will not try thing game again for at least 6 months to a year from now if it's still alive.

    Well i agree with OP, i myself need to try the game out and then decide if i like it or not....i tried AA, played for 4 days but i did not like it much and i moved on, so yeah people should try before deciding if they like it or not.

    Just stop worrying about what people say about the game. If it's good people will play it if it's not people won't lol. If you have to try to convince people one way or the other it's pretty sad, especially for a F2P game.

    OP, you seem to be under the assumption that we haven't tried it. I would think: 1) avid posters/viewers of this site are MMO fans/addicts, 2) When a FTP game opens up, this community of degenerates (and I mean that lovingly) would jump at the chance to DL and play, and 3) you'll get feedback from peeps who have actually played. Yes, some WILL just jump on the hate wagon, but terse 'game suxor' comments are easy to spot and ignore.

    From the looks of it, the so called haters are voicing an opinion and the people who apparently love the game are not happy about how the haters feel.

     

    I guess they enjoy the game so much, they have time to visit here and defend their game in a room filled with opinions is fine with me.

    Some players actually do not like the game, but  imho, much of the game hate directed to the game  is actually against Trion. 

     

    I 'm a founder and like AA, but , I'm not going to play it. I'm pissed at Trion. This game has been out for close to 2 years, the issues in it have been with the game, and Trion  releases it knowing full well that land is an issue, hacks, bots, cheats, all have been in prior releases and not addressed., yet they released it in this state and have more or less remained silent.

    Yes players are pissed and advising staying away from the game. Many want the game to fail, not because it is a bad game but because they want Trion to loose enough customers to have to go to XL and say fix these issues or have the game die.

    ONE month is absolutely nothing in the long haul. Get back to us in 3 or 6 months.

    When I said i had "time", i meant virtual time, i got no RL "time" for you.

    LOL it's been long enough for every other game since WOW was released .....to crash and burn so any success is better than 99% of the games out there

    To be honest the game and the servers are not handled well.

    I play ArchAge quite frequently, there is total lack of players is all I can say.

    It is not F2P. 

    It is a F2T (Free To Try)

    If you want to pass / waste time as a "Froob", that is all there is offered in this game at-least for now.
