So a lot of players have quit Wildstar due to various reasons, most of them was based on the fact that people thought they had more sparetime than they actually had and the fact that they thought the ATTUNEMENT quest is too difficult or too long. Oh and the too grindy questing that is so boring its almost as bad as WoW´s.
But here is my current problem. I cant play WoW ever again. Why? Because after 2 days played time in WoW, I am already bored with the tab-targetting, non-skill based combat system. Since combat is what you do most of the time, I think it is vital for a game to be good. But even after 27 days played time in Wildstar, I still wanna do my dailies on my Engineer DPS even though I have full reputation and no gold problems. Why? Because it has the best combat system ever created in a themepark MMO.
So my question is, is it only me who can never play WoW or any other tab-targetting game again? The fact that I dont need to aim my heals, dash constantly to avoid telegraphs or even focus on walking into friendly heals while dogding enemy telegraphs is just... boring.

I played Wildstar for a couple of months and really enjoyed the game for the time that was there. Like others, I simply didn't have the time commitment to excel in that game like I wanted.
I have actually gone back to WoW. While I do understand your point about combat---I really did love the combat in Wildstar---I don't feel WoW combat is such a step backwards that I can't handle it. Yes, it's tab-target...but it's still the best tab-target combat available. Even though I prefer Wildstar's combat system, I still love the responsiveness and fluidity of WoW's combat. And, let's face it...after playing WoW for years, I always get a nostalgic feeling coming back to that game. It's like an old comfortable pair of shoes you just don't want to get rid of. And it's much more casual-friendly than Wildstar.
So, as I have been doing the last few years, I return to WoW before each new expansion, try to experience the new content, enjoy myself for a time, then eventually unsub after I've gotten my fill. But Wow will always be a game I can go back to time and time again, because it's still the best game on the market, IMO.
Wildstar's combat is the best, the telegraphs just spoil the visuals quite a bit. They should remove the necessity of having to use the telegraphs by increasing the spell effects so we can see the area of its effect without having to depend on the telegraphs outlines.
Been watching WoW streams a lot because I can't seem to get a PVP queue to pop in Wildstar and I want to do some PVP. WoW's pvp from what I've played ( 6 years ) and from what I look at it right now, it's still the same crap. Specially now that they are in the expansion transition phase where everything is even more incredibly unbalanced. Maybe at level 100 things will be different and the pvp will be awesome but that would be one hell of a surprise. Very unlikely.
10 years they had to balance PVP and are still failing at it. I don't understand how people enjoy it. Gameplay is fluid but the PVP is awfuly balanced. Things like dodging, sprinting, double jumping, avoiding telegraphs are really cool additions to keep PVP skill based and not class/gear/paperrockscissors based.
Class balance is always an issue but if all you have to do is tab target and unleash everything you got, then PVP is a bit mind numbing.

Really? Yes, Wildstar is a hugely flawed game in many areas and was frankly quite tedious and unpleasant (in terms of the attention hungry combat) to play.
I would happily play almost any other AAA mmo instead, and the drop off in population suggests many people agree.
And you know that's the reason "most" of them quit how? My group of friends and I all quit because we agreed that the combat system was terrible. With the telegraph system it feels, to me, like a giant clusterf*** of red graphics. Of course I enjoy spending a lot of time playing PvP which is where its at its worst.

No. I couldn't. Playing WS right now and having an absolute blast!

OP, you bring up a good point. I played WoW for 8 1/2 years, I quit this past February due to RL and the fact that SoO was no longer fun for me, cleared it on reg, cleared a few hardmode bosses then I just hit a wall. Since leaving WoW I have tried ESO, GW2, FFXIV, Wildstar, and I am currently playing Archeage and what I can honestly say is that none of those games on a whole measure up to WoW.
With that said I recently resubbed to WoW in hopes that the latest patch would reinvigorate my interest in the game, sadly it hasn't really. When you log into WoW even with the stat squish, character model updates, gear reitemization, etc WoW is still basically the same game I played for 8 1/2 years and it's the same game running on a graphic engine from 2003 (although they have done an amazing job tuning and increasing textures).
For me it's not about the combat although, I did like Wildstars combat system better. It's not that it's a themepark, as I tend to enjoy themeparks better than sandboxes on a whole. For me when I log in the game doesn't look or feel different enough to motivate me to want to play.
With all that said I may still check out WoD but I don't know if even a new xpack will be enough to get me back into the game?

+ linear hub-based on-rails questing and dungeon finder, which is why i won't play (retail) WoW either.
I knew from the start not to buy wildstar, arche age is good I guess for a free game.
gaming is so sad these days nothing great appearing on the horizon, bloodborne will save us and the next "real"elders scrolls game.
You're playing a different Wildstar than I am. But I would venture a guess that you aren't playing it, and for different reasons than you state here.
And to answer the OP. I couldn't go back to WoW since I played Tera. If Tera's combat was in Wildstar, I would be set for life. But I go with the game with the most positives for my style, and currently Wilstar is that game for me.

@ OP: for someone who played WildStar it's astonishing that you missed the fact that all of your abilities where AoE ones with wider or narrower arcs. As far as leveling goes skill is not a factor in WS. It's the same old quest hub model coupled with tedious quests and a kindergarten presentation. Maybe you consider the pressing of the WASD buttons in order to avoid the big "here i come" flashy mark on the ground as "skill" ?
I leveled a spellslinger with whom i finished the attunement process before quitting the game. All i can say is that i enjoyed PvE with my BM hunter in WoW and guardian tank in TOR way more than the slinger. And before you go with the "BM hunter = faceroll" argument do compare the dps rotations and used cool downs for both the hunter and spellslinger.
Btw, i presume that you've already cleared all heroic content and have a personal arena rating of above 2K with WoW being such a cakewalk and such..
^this... Almost exactly. I'm actually wondering if you've been spying on my MMO gaming as of late.

That is clearly your problem, you are unable to be flexible and adapt to multiple game mechanics and still enjoy them.
You focus on one aspect, and if it is not designed exactly in a certain way, the entire game is crap and you can't find the fun.
I've seen people decide to not play AA because there is no invert mouse option, again, they are unable/unwilling to adapt to the controls and play the game. Same for folks who won't play click to move games, or whatever mechanics that completely spoil their fun.
Most other people aren't quite so locked in to singular game mechanics, WOW's tab target style combat is just fine for them, (heck many actually prefer it to all the dodging and rolling around) so they'll gladly go back since the game offers many things they clearly enjoy.
