One issue that's near and dear to my heart is that of dedication to an MMO and MMO community. I wrote about loyalty a few weeks ago, and this goes hand-in-hand with that, but from a different angle. I have a five-stage period I go through when any new game launches. You might be able to relate.

I see what you did there!
I remember year's ago I was looking for a new mmo to play, I was burnt out on the ones I played at the time. Gamestop had EQ1 plus 18 expac's for 20$, and Lotro MoM CE for 20$. So I decided on Lotro, I liked the lore and the game looked pretty decent. It quickly became my mmo of choice mainly due to a few very kind player's helping a newbie who wondered where I should not have. Stayed with it through all the change's until Helm's Deep I couldn't stand the character class revamp's, very similar to rift's skill trees but worse. I'm able to login every so often and enjoy the game as long as I don't run any of my high level character's.
If it wasn't for the class changes and a few unsavory changes they made. I would still be playing every chance I got, Even with the dated animation's and graphic's.

I immediately thought of CoH as well. After the launch rush ended and the game settled down, all of the players pretty much made alts. We were always running back through old zones and sidekicking up our exemplaring down to play with friends. No other game I've been in since did such a good job of allowing folks of such different levels to all hang out together. Group sizes of 8 were perfect and there was usually a few such groups running at any time from my CoH guild. Cryptic definitely made some rookie calls with the game and eventually dumped it in NCSoft's lap where it languished for a bit.
