Patch 1.5.2 went live on Monday and with it came some major improvements that we already knew about. But it also included a few changes that we did not expected. Were these unexpected changes good or bad?

i haven't played it but Keeping Forward Keeps makes it too easy on the winning side.
Now with the Forward Keeps gone the losing side and can a leg up on the Sieges.
Lineage 2 did this. Defending team had it hard when to many people died. On that i thought it was more fun this way . Die then run back.
The only problem I can see is ambushing people when they try to get back. Now there is a gap in distance people can go ambush players and go back to the respawn point.

That's not a problem but more of an opportunity for there to be actual use of more tactics. Other RvR/ WvW games have already been doing this and it's good to see it implemented in this one was well. It will make coming back to the game (one of these days) that much sweeter.

So MMORPG just steals any screenshots (Posted 9/9/14) that they can get without providing proper credits? I guess I shouldn't have expected proper journalistic ethics.
Shame on you Ryan Getchell. If you can't provide original content then find someone that can and will allow you to use it.
I'm also a proponent of getting rid of the forward camps. What's cool in ESO is that any character can stealth, so though there will be gankers searching for people using the shortest travel routes, any player has the option to stealth in spots where they think gankers are likely to lurk.
Bring on the cat and mouse games!
I'm still hearing that updates are very buggy. I could post quotes from the ESO forums on this but it's enough to say Zeni really needs to address the 500 pound gorilla in the room.
They really need to test stuff more and take the advice of their testers more. But the focus will probably be on the next scheduled big update after awhile.

It was an awesome change. Early in live the camps were bugged. They worked only sometimes. They play in Cyrodiil was so much more dynamic. We are seeing a return to that now. Cyrodiil is huge again.
It was a extremely gutsy move by Brian Wheel. Strong affirmative action that changed the meta for the better. Next time Brian or ZOS may not be so fortunate, but this type of move to deliver a desired change reminds me of the old Blizzard.
This update by far has been the best patch technical wise. They started doing better last update. Before that though, yeah they were bad. If the rest of the updates keep coming like this one. I think people will be happy.
Take it easy, Lionxoft, he's not covering the Berlin Airlift.

When I said i had "time", i meant virtual time, i got no RL "time" for you.
Care to share where he took these from?
Additionally, if you are from a site where he used these then there are probably more "professional" ways to state what you stated. Maybe even contacting the site itself and reminding them that they need to ask permission OR perhaps arranging some quid pro quo relationship that would benefit both of you.
If you are not from a site where these were taken (if they were taken) then how do you know what arrangements mmorpg.com has made with that site?
Why do people feel as if they need to devolve to some angsty adolescent on the internet?

You seriously want journalistic credit for a screenshot?
This is the worst possible move for ZOS.
One of the major issues the game is having is the lack of end game content and entertainment. Pre-Patch; If you are not running with a great crew of PVP players, you would spend most of your time running around, just to die in moments. Most of your "PVP" gameplay was spent running from one point to the other unless you had or one of your buddies had a camp set up. Now the great idea is to remove the camp and guarantee the idea of running around like a dork....on what planet is this a good idea? This is a bad, bad move in order to retain casual players and it concedes to the elitist-jerk PVPers. IMO. Nice ZOS.
I understand how the opposing side of this arguement is saying it was dumb to move an entire army from one scout. But how is it entertaining to spend more time running around like a turd on a stick instead of PVP'ing. I'd rather get owned 15-20 times in 10 minutes versus running around and only getting 30sec-1min of PVP time. There has to be a better way to manage open world PVP and allow players instant action. Oh, I know FREAKING CAMPS!
Probably for the same reason that Random Guy A feels the need to defend Random Guy B, simply because they frequent the same website.
You don't seriously think that the writers and editors here maintain a degree of journalist professionalism, do you? They can't even be bothered to proof read an article prior to submission...
My god man, open up your eyes. This site is the rectum of the mmorpg fansite world.
Its about time. Forward camps (along with oil exploits and broken builds) have completely ruined Cyrodill. In a game where they only had that to offer as "end game" content, they need to make this move much soon.
Sadly, PVP is already a ghost town. There is only one, yes 1 single, campaign that is even being used. They have already run off most of the crowd and larger guilds that were involved in the game. Half of the guilds from their guild summit dont even exist anymore, and that was only a month ago.
This is definitely a step in the right direction, im just worried its too little too late. Forward camps should have been pulled back when they reworked the campaigns. The only hope now is that the Imperial City will bring enough players back to make PVP worthwhile again.
