I stopped because of how disengaging mining/lumbering was because you had to do it to make building tools and some of those building tools need certain materials that required you to play the long crafting game which had an RNG aspect to it, ugh. Somehow they made Mining simulate gathering in generic MMO's, it feels incredibly mundane in comparison to Minecraft even though it feels familiar. The nail in the coffin was the lack of communication, I still don't understand the developers vision, they never really established a go to source for information on development, you'd expect the forums to be a staple but that was sort of abandoned for some reason. Building was always pretty solid even if convoluted at times, the rest of the game just got in the way of it rather than complimenting it.
I tried to get really involved in Alpha, making this short pictorial thesis. It was at the height of interest when the alpha gates opened up, I've slowly watched the game fade away since then. It left me a little disgruntled at the time because I really believed in the potential. So instead of waiting around I decided to start dabbling with the dark arts myself. As closure I made this video condensing how I feel about it and what I would have done given the chance:

This can easily come across as stating the obvious, however it is interesting how quickly people can look past the simple fact that the game is still in development. This is one of the few MMO Alpha/Beta's where the game was actually being developed as its being tested.
In my personal opinion I wouldn't mind seeing the application process for alpha/beta reintroduced. Landmark has a lot of potential, however a lot of people's eyes are set on EQN and Landmark is serving as their early introduction. A lot of these individuals are getting restless as content for Landmark is truly in its developing stages.
Your average player isn't going to be very satisfied at the pace that Landmark is moving in, so you really have to put your Beta hat on and realize you're in a hurry up and wait phase of the game.
