Hello dear mmo friends!

I guess i am one of the archeage laevers due to reasons you all already have heard of! But what struck me in Archeage was the crating and farming part...i usually play the healer who grinds allot and didnt really care about crafting..until now.

I am looking for a good crafting sandbox..or a good mmo with a nice community..i dont care about population..there just has to be a european server.

let me know what you have in mind guys,

cheers!

Hmmm seems to me you were in a fairly decent crafting sandbox.

First, you are going to have to explain why that didn't work for you, I think.

Yea sorry but :  "all the usual reasons" doesn't quite cut it for me.   Some of those reasons might be helpful here.

FFA Nonconsentual Full Loot PvP ...You know you want it!!

I hear a lot of good things about Project: Gorgon in terms of crafting. I've only played a little, still in the starter cave, but already I've picked up some recipes.

It's a free game, in alpha state but seems quite playable already. Maybe it'd be worth exploring if you're hoping to find a game where crafting plays a major role.

According to a recent "feature" here in MMORPG.COM, one of the best crafting MMO is... GW2!

If you want crafting mmorpg I suggest Fallen Earth.

It is post-apocalyptic game, think about Fallout but mmorpg.

Everything you need / use is crafted by player. Armors, weapons, ammunition, vehicles etc.

Crafting is really deep in that game.

Try Darkfall, all items in game are player crafted. Its game with sandbox elements like archeage. But its "bot free" because of full loot :)

  • FFXIV...

    - Not on a sandbox level but got an amazing crafting system.

    - Great community with a very healthy population.

    - And one of the most polish and best quality mmos out there.

You might want to take a look at Ryzom, It is a sandbox game aimed at harvesting/crafting. Small community, but good.

You can play free up to lvl 125 in all your skills. No cash shop.

If good crafting is supposed to imply meaningful crafting, then there is only one answer - EVE Online.

If good crafting is supposed to imply crafting mini-game, you can just pick any other game and see for yourself how the mini-game works for you.

Haven and Hearth, though the population is a bit dense and the graphics are isometric and you need a mod to get fullscreen properly "which is on site", it's a very good sandbox crafting game if you can get over a few hurdles to get it rolling.

Hay Day. it's a tablet game that's a bit light on the RPG but big on the crafting.

I know you said you don't want a character wipe, but I highly suggest The Repopulation. They recently lowered the cost for entry ($50) and will drop it even lower soon (down to $25). The game has the deepest crafting system you will ever find, just check any of the interviews/livestreams/podcasts. The community is tight knit and super friendly. Give it a thought!

I'd definetely recommend Final Fantasy 14.

I DONT count myself as someone who enjoys crafting, but in most games its so easy or same-y that i can do it when i need to. Click a few buttons and get what you wanted.

FFXIV, however, has an insanely deep crafting system, crafters have their own classes! They use actual skills to craft things, like you would normally use skills to fight a mob or something in other mmos.

I can definetely appreciate it, for those who love crafting, it would be the game id point them to

but, like i said, I dont enjoy crafting so it isnt for me. They love it though.

    The Deep Web is sca-ry.
