Oh, there we go. They just turned off the marketplace.
Scapes' comment was rather tame "At minimum, you will lose your items". Should have threatened bans. It makes me wonder if they'll ban or not for this. Well, it'll be interesting to watch, either way.
Wait we've been assured it didn't work anymore over and over again in this thread, why would they need to turn it off if that is the case?
because the white knight obviously lied in his desperate way to defend the game
All-time fave : City of Heroes/Villains
Played and returning from time to time : GW2, Tera, CO
And I doubt anyone will lose anything...they can't even ban goldsellers and they claim they can scan whole population from day 0 for this exploit...give me a break.
How about items that changed owners or were turned into something else (regrade charms)...I call Trion threat a BS.
Ofc they can scan, they them self know the % behind the boxes.
So if anyone goes over said % on the payout from the boxes... BAMM.. let´s start investigate.
Oh this will be sooo good
You do know there are people grabbing land and not even being in the zone and they can't detect that which is like super easy...some people sure have faith in Trion.
LOL.... how many times i read from the same person "it doesn't work anymore" ......
sadly ingame information says it stills works
Have you confirmed it yourself? AA is full of players claiming all kinds of crap. go ahead try it.
You mean players like you that are driven bordering on obsession to defend and white knight a game that is probably the worst monetized and exploited game ever released?

Is it just me that finds DMKano's last comment hilarious?

This.
It's like a test of endurance. How much crap can people put up with in a F2P. The 2015 edition.
Also Robo, I want to copy your sig so much....can I????

Originally posted by preachmore another bad move of trion is that eu marketplace is still up...... it's like saying to the europeans "last chance to buy in bulks before we close"

Well.. I don´t. I just stated that this is very easy to track. Just run a simple diagnostic and compare # of bought boxes vs the % of the value of the payout. Then generate a list from that.
This game is a mess. My whole guild (which was a pretty established one on our server) just disbanded because of people quitting or not giving a F about stuff anymore due to the botched Auroria launch, exploits, cash shop missteps etc. Land is definitely not hard to come by anymore, I can tell you that. Come the 19th I suspect there will be a bunch of land freeing up.
lol, people actually held onto the auroria hope.
anyone that was smart had this uninstalled before then.

Are you sure the smart ones didn't see this all coming and never installed it in the first place?
Now they're talking about an Apex exploit on the official forums. Basically unlimited credits from 1 Apex.
Wonder if DMKano is going to "try" this one as well.
And most of this isn't really new. Some of these very same exploits have existed in other regions as well... some for months, others for more than a year. It all goes back to XL's client and their inability to fix these problems in a timely manner. The most glaring flaw are the number and variety of hacks/cheats/bots/exploits that persist in the game... for a so called AAA title. XL Games is already focused on their next title Civilization Online.
XL Games has 2 options.
They can actually give a damn about the game and actually try to fix it. Or they can do what Korean companies have done in the past (especially with their western audience) to not give a damn and put as little effort as possible on the client and content and releasing them at a snail's pace while heavily focusing on the cash shop; find new P2W or Pay to Advance methods and move on to their new MMO.

I wonder which of the two paths XL will take.
XLGames have already shown which path they will take.
Releasing the game in the NA/EU market with all the bugs/exploits from the Russian version still intact in the game shows that they don't care much what happens. Many of those bugs and exploits were apparently fixed in later versions of the game, but XLGames does not want to do the extra work of applying the fixes in the earlier versions. "Take it or leave it".
The release of AA in each new region brings an additional influx of cash. All this is pure profit, as long as XLGames can avoid any further development work or keep it to a bare minimum. The regional publisher bears the cost for the "localisation" work, XL just collects the royalties.

I never understood why people considered this a AAA mmo anyway. Cheap grafics, the usual quest grind until you can pvp...
At best I would have called it the standard korean game with sandbox elements and a bit of an indie charm.
The name AA hints already that an A is missing.
Compared to other open PVP sandbox games, it is very high quality. Problem is the combat is horrible, the management is abysmal, and like you said, much of the game isn't even a pvp sandbox.

The support (falling under management, I suppose) is what put a bad taste in my mouth to begin with. The bug (or issue) I reported CBT2 was handled so poorly by Trion's customer support with an utter lack of sense of urgency on their part with their routine canned response partnered with their agent's poor technical knowledge really threw up some red flags for me.

There should be something in the cash shop that can override this. And, if you order now...
Also Robo, I want to copy your sig so much....can I????

It was down on Kyprosa when you posted this.
Can all this nonsense settle down already so I can try the game!

If the guy never posted about the exploit on forums then no one would be the wiser .
We would be happily playing the game thinking we were the king pin not knowing some guy was hacking the crap out of game
making everything we do worthless .
No matter if he tries or not, he will regardless tell everyone else that it doesn't work anyway -while everyone on the servers is doing it.

As long as there are things to pay for, there will be things to cheat for.
