Leveling is easy up to 5. Just do kill tasks they are easy early on and you get good xp and money. Just talk to named guards.

    1. Where do I get kill tasks?

2.Are necros good RvR? Any fun?

    3.Are Friars any fun?

4.Are Theurgists any good at RVR? Any fun

    1. Go to a guard with a name like Seargent Percival and click on them then type /task then they will tell you to find a type of monster in around your area and to kill it. After you killed the monster go back to the guard for your award.

    2. Necros are o.k. in rvr nothing special but they really shine in the area of pve.

    3. Yes friars are very fun, you get to use a stick to wack monsters fo huge amounts of damage, also get buffs, and heals.

    4.  Right now the Theurgist aren't that great in rvr but after the 1.65 patch comes out they will be viable.

I might start a necro in another server. What are pros and cons of the necro and why are they fun to play?

Pro- Great Dueler, No problem getting into a group either hunting monsters or rvr. Very Fast leveling. Great soloer and farmer aka hunting loot and gold.

Cons- Requires more skill to play, not a recommended for first character. You need to know what your doing to be good.

They are very fun to play, imagine your say level 37 hunting in barrows you can chain kill oranges with no downtime and the guy next too you soloing takes about twice the time just to kill a yellow.

    Hope this helps

Call me stupid...ok...but when i told my guild I wanted to go hunter for the 3rd time and spec. in spear and bow and ditch my shammy they kicked me out with a ton of items and a goodbye...lol. im starting albion. I just DLed the new patch and I hear Midguard got nuked pretty hard. i want to make a scout. This will be an arrow/CC scout. How do arrow/CC scouts work out? Should I make stealth too? how are they in RVR and solo? Are they fun? Are they hard to lvl with?

Scout is one of the harder classes to level in PvE.  They are good in RvR though.

  • madnessmageemadnessmagee Member Posts: 69

Yeah scouts is pretty hard to level up mainly because you will suck at soloing and groups would not want you. But the rvr end game is good...if you can get there.

Kia look man easyest way play a healer type or fighter for your first char but i recomend a healer type there are tons of groups for you and end games cool depends on how you spec you gett cc. but really man slow down play a healer type get in a large guild hit 50 in 2 or 3 months and then /level a char. most guilds will help you level one char if you dont ask for PL all the time but when you have like 5 level 3 chars in a guild they get mad because they will never be able to trust on a certain char from you. but all in all mids like me we didnt get nerfed hard like some say. also all realms got nerfed not just mid. anyways just stick with one char and work it. there is not one char type in daoc that is the best at everything thats why you must group in daoc to suceed at the game. well unless your a person with a friggin bot then you dont need anyone grrrrrrrrr. sorry bots kill the game for us honest players. lol

Our guild leader [long story how I got back] has a level 45 bot. Can you believe how long that would take to lvl? Anyways Im going stdy with my spear hunter who is wicked sick. I esspecially love the beastiry spells. My hunter is at lvl 20 and he will stay there. I realized I only wanted solo and small group action, not buff spells.image

be a necro, any undead mobs lvl 50 in week - then go buy a toon account - go out to white lights - lvl 50 anything via power leveling in 4 days or less

i made a good chunk of money selling lvl 50 characters with 5/6 plat and not ONE skill point used on ebay last year.  is so easy its rediculous.

Daoc is a really good game. Friar's are INSANE in rvr. My bro has one... ive seen him do things otherwise impossible by others... Well, Necros actually are pretty good, i remember in Aber (Abermenai) that we were all scared of necros. A way to get lvl 5, yea tasks are good. What you can also do is at like level 2 or 3 i forget which, somewhere along the coast of camelot, East gate, you follow the river, like towards the graveyard/ PK and there you will find a like camp of spriggarns i think. Good area for that level, then go to the graveyard and you can fight some zombies. from there i guess you just kill random things you find. Good luck. THeurgs are awesome fun.

Friars are really fun, mine was only lvl 36 though, my main was an Infiltrator, and I enjoyed him, if you like not being seen and whacking people outta nowhere to scare them to death (literally) then be inf, they are hard to level though :( But a friend gave me some Sc'ed gear and at lvl 36 I could solo reds without buffs and purple with buffs, it was insane. :)

I actually haven't had much of a problem getting a group with a Scout yet. Granted, I'm not anything in the way of level (had a 22 Scout on Gwin, then switched servers and restarted him). I think that it's all in how you sell yourself to a group leader. Be a whore. image

Offer to pull. Offer to tank. Offer to make the freaking coffee. Whatever. I've found that being social will get you in a group that has an extra spot and no idea what to do with it. (And those are the best groups to get in, anyway). Even if you have to demean yourself and be the court jester. image

Of course, it takes a lot of practice to grovel without letting them know your groveling. I got a lot of practice as a guildless Ranger in pre-Luclin EQ trying to get into a Hate raid image

Or, if all else fails, walk into a dungeon at prime time and start a group out of the misfits and refuse you find at the line. I've led groups that dragged MAD EXP (37-39 in ONE NIGHT with my Armsman) that were made of LFGers right at the zone in.

So, to attempt to put a point on a long, pointless post... ANY class can get a group, if you actually bother to be social or pro-active, rather than just relying on the /LFG engine. It's a social game. Be social. Or play Morrowind (ick!).
