Only about 3 hours in and exploring more than I should be (i.e. even with a map i find i go in circles a lot) but so far I've loved every aspect of the game on Normal in Single player. Have not tried Multi-Player yet but my Guild is doing it this weekend so I'll jump in then

Multiplayer seems and probaly is the most unintresting part of the game, it has no connection to the singleplayer game and thats what 99% of the player get the game for.

agree with all your points except I think the MP should be a bit easier in general

it is just fast action mode 100% of the time so you don't get a break

could also use some control customization on ps4 plus a toggle for auto-attack instead of holding a button down constantly for it

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women...

the Legionnaire does get a aoe taunt, you just have to level a bit more. And you make it out like just because the Legionnaire and keeper is good that people are going always play as them, it's hard to get classes and when you get them they are so much better cause they are different, if anything I think the templar is better and better looking (lol). Just put more time into it. I got a necromancer and I think its much more interesting than the keeper.

Silly PC players lol (I plays this on the PS4) being so uppidy.

I've been playing nothing but multiplayer with a friend on my Legionnaire. The game is pretty hard on low lvls with no good gear. And to my surprise, you can pay "real" money to purchase loot boxes for gear and potions. Its not too bad since playing the game will yeild you gold to buy loot boxes. But, come on...really?

Imagine if they had multiplayer like Neverwinter Nights 2. Player run servers, a toolkit to build modules, drop-in co-op campaign play...

Like others, I bought DA for the singleplayer , but my roommates talked me into multiplayer for a bit. I was underwhelmed. Granted, I'm not the audience for this, but it seemed repetitive and pointless. And can we talk about the sluggish movement? Even pushing"shift" I felt like I was running through molasses. Yeah, not my cup of tea.

Don't give a toss about MP to be honest.  I buy Bioware games for the single player experience.  It's about time that the two game modes were separated so that the full budget could be spent on either a MP game or a SP game instead of both being diluted hybrids which rarely work out well.

The biggest miss for me is that Bethesda keeps raising the bar while Bioware keeps lowering it.

How can any company chose the most difficult to mod engine during a time when modding keepings growing, extending the life of a game so DLCs and expansions sell more and for a longer period of time?

No matter how popular this game is in terms of sales, the lack of modding will guarantee that its issues are not resolved, its flaws are not improved on and the excitement over it will die within a few months. Something the original DAo did not suffer from thanks to the modding community that vastly extended its life and kept people playing long enough for the expansion to be very successful.

highly disappointing. This game had a chance to top Skyrim thanks to its vast world.

I totally agree. Sure it would have been awesome to have Neverwinter Nights 2 multiplayer with the ability to have player run servers and mods etc but I would much rather have the focus on single player and drop the multiplayer standalone for a toolkit and mod support.

You bring up a really good point and one that is rather perplexing that they didn't do.

I'm not sure what engine it's running on but is it possible we could ever see mod support in the future?

I cannot believe you gave this games multiplayer a pass for being one of the most poorly implemented piles of rubbish i have seen in the last decade. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS PAID FOR ARTICLE.

I am still aghast that the writer in anyway shape for form was able to suggest the variety is remotely passable.

You get exactly 3 different "themes" for the maps to follow and the maps are literally a random set up of 5 cubes out of a pool of 10 sampled over and over and over again. To make matters worse you will encounter a possible 2 sets of enemy types of which only 4 different enemy models exist.

TO MAKE IT EVEN WORSE all 3 of the tile sets have the exact same simple win condition which is plant a pole in the 5 box and defend from a few waves of enemies.

THAT IS IT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER.

Now lets add in the fact that the gear is abysmal in the sense you can essentially gather 4 items to improve your character and of those 4 item types weapons is the only thing that drops frequently whether you get it from the rare chest in game or you open up a gold grinded chest.

Now the final insult of ALL INSULTS IS THEY TOOK THE TIME TO CODE A CASH SHOP AS WELL FOR THIS EMBARRASSING ATTEMPT AT A MULTIPLAYER MODULE.....i mean are you fucking kidding me  a cash shop HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA what a kick in the balls.

No joke this multiplayer module makes the original FF!$ online shame look like the worlds best mmo ever. it is that pathetic.

The only redeeming feature is the combat mechancis and feel are very good though controlling is somewhat clunky.
