    B2P

I really liked GW1's system. I'd gladly pay 40-60 euros a year for an expansion without big updates in between. If I pay without getting content I feel like I'm being screwed (because, come on, 15€ per player just to keep the servers up and a small support team?).

Your first statement has been true for at least the last 8 years, pretty much only games that brought a big budget and a big IP could afford to launch P2P much less stay P2P.

Your second statement hints at the real question for the future: Will the handful of games that can actually support the subscription model actually be able to resist also adding a cash shop?  The only games I can think of that are currently not offering a cash shop are FFXIV and Wildstar.

FF added a cash shop this month. Wildstar has a cash shop that sells creed which players sell again for in game gold.

ESO sells digital download upgrade, and a horse. A horse that you get with the purchase of the upgraded download. It's really a stretch to even call it a cash shop.

I would like to see a good refreshing MMO first. I won't care about payment model then.

Just not another ip based big budget themepark MMO based on same old boooooooooooooooooring gameplay with vertical progression, measured by gimmicky achievements and placed in a disney park world.

Please devs, leave the ip's alone so you can fully concentrate on gameplay and an immersive virtual world. I don't mind cheesy storylines with good vs bad, because if I don't want that I will just read a book or watch a good movie. Just make the world and gameplay convincing.
