No doubt for me and for many people : Archeage!

Why?

Trions incompretence + plex dupe abuse + pay to win + 30 hours maintenance on weekend + ...

AND

At this hour 14:28pm on a tuesday : all USA servers on high populatior or  -+500 peep queue!

Having a blast everyday, having fun everyday, I am very sorry for you people that are not trying it because of the haters and bad comments in many forums like this one, YOU ARE THE ONES LOSING IT.

Enjoy Arathi Basin num. 349857337689...

But, but, but he attacked me when I was low life!

Yes, HE DID, why you cant do the same to him?

Uf that will take me a lot of time...

HERE IS YOUR QUEST!

Clearly the best MMO is Scarlet Blade, as it goes by the flawless design philosophy of aiming towards a target audience with three hands (if you know what I'm saying).

Apparently, according to our site skins... it's actually League of Angels. At least, that's what they seem to think.

This isn't actually true. Most AA servers are starting to get empty to the point I think they are going to have to merge in the next couple of months. The population is really concentrated on just a few servers. It is an ok game, better than most of these newer garbage WoW clones though.

I'll go with EQ1 myself. Loved that you could like actually die while soloing, that the dungeons were tuned so you didn't need a full group for everything and that the game didn't hold your hand everywhere. Also sadly it had the best PvP I've played in a MMORPG, not because of the game mechanics themselves but because you would PvP over the PvE content itself which is so much better than doing it over some keep that trades hands every few days. Best experiences I've had in a MMORPG are huge PvP battles over raid content back in EQ1.

  • For me..;

    1. Warhammer Online

    2. Guild Wars

    3. World of Warcraft(Vanilla)

    4. Final Fantasy XIV

    5. Eve Online

Honorable Mentions : Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Knight Online and Star Wars Galaxies...

For me I think it would have to be CoX.  They had so many things going for them.  Shame that it was more of a niche product as it really was a wonderful MMO.

I don't know what's going on with this quote. LoA is a site advertiser. Side Advertisers are supposed to get superior treatment. I think some minds were just blown. Hmmmmm, that, or maybe there is something more devious going on here. Some sort of conspiracy...... I'll have to keep this in mind. I think there's definitely some sort of ulterior motive here, you're just thinking 2 steps ahead of everyone else..... you know.... cuz you already have it all figured out...... yup.... CAUGHT YOU! I'll be watching your next review VERY CLOSELY Mr. Murphy..... alllllllways watching.

Confused why this is asked almost every month if not week. There will never be an answer to it other than what one person's opinion is. A lot on this forums never played UO when it was young and fun. Same for EQ. It was a time of first's and we all know how first time's are.

So for me it was the very first D&D I played then UO which was the greatest pvp game of all time. Nothing can match it even with the new gfx.

But like I said that is my opinion, one of many.

I'm not perfect but I'm always myself!

    1. SWG before it got broke by LA

    2. Darkfall just loved the open world pvp fights in that

    3. Everquest spent quite a bit of time playing it.

    4. Age of Conan my favourite themepark mmorpg other than the above.

    5. Mortal Online lvoe the atmosphere in that game and the idea behind it.

Everquest before any of the expansions.  Not only was the world fresh and new, but no one had any clue about MMO's.  It was such an amazing experience that we will never have again.  Even today playing on a classic Everquest emulator, it's still the best MMO.  Honorable mention goes to City of Heroes.  That game was a blast and perfect for the casual gamer.

I agree with CoX. Awesome game that did so many innovative things.

EQ1 - There has never been a game like it since. You made real life friends playing this game.

DAOC - Fantastic! You had plenty of PVE and great PVP when you YOU wanted. Very fun.

WOW - I haven't played for many years but it was an extremely polished fun game.

SWG - Great concept and fun to play. Only issue was combat rubber-banding which they never addressed.

ULTIMA ONLINE - Still a great game to play. Housing is second to none.

CITY OF HEROES - Just plain fun to play. Character creation best ever!
