Why are there pvp ranks still in this game ?

in Rift
With pvp and pve gear being integrated I'm wondering why there are still pvp ranks in this game ( currently I am at 93/100 ) . Am wondering what will be available to me at rank 100 ?

    Not much just a Achievement, they have not open conquest yet maybe there new items there need rank 100? who knows.
