Title says it all, good chance to give it a go if you were waiting for a deal. It might go lower but if you don't want to risk it, might as well get it now.
Carbine delivers content at snailspeed and seem to have no real direction for it. It's like they have a team of 4 people working on content. Many official posts are as vague as it gets and often read like
"we are doing something atm, but we can't say what or when it will hit the game. then there is another team also currently doing something we can't talk about at this point..and we have changes planned for something but don't know when they'll get patched in. oh, and there is another thing but we can't say when it will be ready."
I see the game is just under £10 on amazon.co.uk and a 30-day card is just under £5 at the moment. I know the game is widely derided but for that price I'll get a copy just to while away a bit of time over the Christmas holidays with the 30 days that comes with the game. The holiday TV is always crap anyway.
I think even if they make it 100% off, they still won't get enough people taking them up on the offer. One major problem is the subscription model. With the exceptions of WoW and EVE Online, subscription games are not having the best of luck.
Seems as though posting anything about Wildstar on MMORPG.com will just get trolled to death. So many "it should be F2P" comments, and I would bet my last dollar that if it actually did, those same people would then say, "It went F2P, meaning the game failed, play something else"
If you don't like a game, stop following it. And for the love of Patsy, stop commenting like you know what changes are or are not coming if you haven't played it in months.
By the way, next massive drop is in January, not THAT far away. And if you don't know what is in it, don't comment as if you do.
Lastly, since when did no Christmas event = dead game?
I'm not white knighting here, the game has it's problems, but there is just so much baseless complaints about a game coming from people that wouldn't care to play it if Carbine paid them. Much like it would be if Blizzard tried to pay me to play WoW.

Tough.
You don't want criticism, you don't want hear bad things about your game, YOU walk away and stop commenting. No one is bothering you, they are just being honest about this game.
The only reason you don't hear it on the Wildstar forums is because Carbine is terrified to open the forums to members that left the game. Need feedback from people who left? Nope, let's not ask them why they left.... genius. Then they wonder why people get laid off.

The 50% Deal is OVER, but the game isn't worth it anyways.
Just wait til it hits F2P.
Don't worry you are not missing much, there is no Christmas holiday content, and the next update is months away.
Its not over on my amazon page. http://www.amazon.com/Wildstar-PC/dp/B00JB6P7FW/ref=pd_sim_vg_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=18A15KE827Y0ZGAKRWJ2#pop
Maybe you're looking at the eu one or something. Also TESO is down to 17$ but its hard copy only.
The game is on ebay for a bargain since forever.
